Magic Meme
Seems to me my wizard chart for myself is kind of popular as far as my art posts go, so I thought you guys might want to give it a spin too. This chart is based off my personal story concept for a place called Otherworld, but you should join bravebirdart (she started it praise her) and me on our quest.
Types of Magic Users:
Magicians (they can use magic freely without aids), Wizards (need to use wands or other magically endowed objects to channel magic), and Witches (uses the natural magical properties of ingredients to harness magic)
Types of Magic:
Black: Magic used with intent to harm or control. Very harmful on both victim and users, though only affects user over the long term. Varied difficulty.
Earthly: Ability to enrich the life of plants and force growth, harness elements and minerals, possible ability to change elements on a atomic level to change say lead to gold. Difficult to learn.
Esoteric: Magic that affects matter and the mind. Illusion, displacement of matter, passing through solid surfaces. Hardest to learn.
Grey: Practical magic. Follows basic sciences. Movement of objects, lighting of fires, sparking of electricity. If you learned about it in Physics, it belongs in grey magic. Easiest to learn.
Enchantment: Ability to lace objects with magical properties. Say give a teacup an enchantment that affects hair loss. Varied difficulty.
White: Ability to heal and comfort. Numb pain, mend wounds, nullify poison. Varied difficulty.
Curses: Similar to enchantment, though it involves blacker magic. Ability in Black magic is a must have for placing of curses, but on the flip side, someone skilled in curse-magic has a strong aptitude for breaking them and other magic spells, so it's an incredibly useful skill. Difficult to learn.
