Obi-Wan looks happy, so of course that gets Anakin’s attention.

“What are you smiling about?” he says as he jumps over the back of the couch, landing with a soft whump on the cushions. Obi-Wan’s grin doesn’t deepen, exactly, but there’s a distinct twinkle in his eye that makes Anakin suspicious for reasons he can’t quite fathom.

Obi-Wan idly flips through the book he’d been smiling at. “Do you remember that dinosaur phase you went though?”

Anakin frowns. “Yeah. Every kid had a dinosaur phase. You didn’t because you were one of them.”

Obi-Wan turns a page and doesn’t even blink, and now Anakin’s attention is fully on him. “Why?”

Obi-Wan shrugs, not looking at Anakin, but reaching down beneath the couch cushion to retrieve his cell phone. “Well, you see, I just realized that Padmé’s never seen these photographs of you in your stegosaurus pajamas, and I thought-”

Whatever Obi-Wan thought was drowned out in the wordless shout Anakin made and the surprised grunt that left the older man’s lips as Anakin tackled him, scrambling for the phone. “Don’t- you- dare-!!!”

Somewhere, the lock of the apartment turned, the door opened, and there was silence instead of a greeting.

“Am I interrupting something?” Padmé asked, her voice more amused than surprised, while Ahsoka sniggered.

“Told you one of these days they’d kill each other,” she said.

Man, back in The Day I had so many Rogue Squadron headcanons, I had OC Rogues to fill out the roster for ESB, I had filled out back stories for characters who either don’t have one in canon or whose back story I didn’t know… Naturally I’ve forgotten most of it :P

But I thought it would be fun to do some quick headcanony writing so…
