A question for kitlaf shippers: When do you think bea ii was conceived ?

I mean these two were/are sooo hot for each other❤😉

Add your answer below!😆 AkA: describe the night our girl was “make”.(i want to hear your headcanons!)

I like to think that they run into each other during a mission, they argued but their Mouths were a little bit too close... and it happened😶😶😶(they said things in the dark, they never DARED to said🎶🎶)

What about you? What do you think?.

“After their break up, Kit and Olaf crossed path at various occasions. Most of their encounters started with a gun or any weapon pointed at the other. But some of them ended in sweeter ways. Making up for a day or a night. In memories of older, less bitter days. Each thought the other was stupid for falling back into their arms so many times. Somehow, both were right.”

Yep and that’s how Kit ended up…

So in recent ask I saw you say that Bea II was Olaf’s daughter. I’m not attacking you I just want to know why you believe that.

First of all, I should restate that my portrayal of Olaf is based on books. I add some detail from the Netflix show, but as for the main chain of events – I stick to books. That being said, I do believe Beatrice to be Olaf’s daughter in the books

This theory has been discussed a lot and I will include links to a few great posts on the subject. They are very sufficient, but I still want to express my own thoughts.

I guess, I should begin with explaining why I think it was possible for Kit and Olaf to have a child in the first place. Obviously enough, in the famous paralleled passage about true love they mean each other: Netflix knew perfectly well what they did there when they added Dewey, since the things both Kit and Olaf mentioned were lined up in a chronological order, and that indicates that Kit had lost her true love before her brothers, which means it wasn’t Dewey, and Olaf had lost his before his henchpeople, which means it wasn’t Esmé. These two loved each other till the end, no matter how dark and complicated it was.

Besides, unlike Netflix version of Kit, book Kit wasn’t that excited about motherhood (and god, I could talk about how Netflix ruined one of my favorite characters a lot, but that’s not the matter here). She took unnecessary risks, she was going to choose the wallpaper for the baby’s room on her own, etc. And yeah. The whole Kit/Dewey thing. It’s very subtle. We know he loved her, we also know they worked together and were rather close, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t find any proof that Kit loved him back romantically, especially enough to have sex with him.

The next point might seem like a stretch, but I do get some kind of Romeo & Juliette vibes from these two. Two rival sides, two unfortunate lovers, he also killed her brother, that kind of stuff, though it’s hardly romantic and very dark. While the death of Romeo and Juliette puts the end to the rivalry of their families, death means nothing to V.F.D. – but Kit and Olaf’s child is exactly what could finally break the cycle of abuse.

The Baudelaires raising Dewey’s daughter makes no sense in the context of the whole story. But them raising the child of the man who turned their lives into hell, however, surrounding her with love and care… You get the idea. It’s a great character development for them, since it shows they’ve managed to overcome their trauma.

Also, think of the irony. Olaf didn’t want kids, he chose that particular poem as his last words for a reason – maybe he knew, maybe he didn’t, but still, there she was, his child, someone who didn’t have to be fucked up by her mom and dad. Someone who could grow up to be noble instead of becoming a copy of her father.

Beatrice being Dewey’s daughter is sweet and nice, though rather obvious, and we all know that things aren’t always what they seem and rarely go the right way.

Beatrice being Olaf’s daughter makes her a perfect embodiment of the whole Chef’s Salad thing. Her mother was a not so noble volunteer, her father was a villain – good and evil are literally mixed in her.

This is actually one of my favorite topics to discuss about the series and I have a lot more to say, but this post has already got too long, and besides, as I said before, there are a lot of metas and analyses on tumblr already, so I’ll just give you the links to this amazing meta by @lemonysnidget and also this post that I reblogged not so long ago.
