Honestly you kinda need the practice with male anatomy. Your ladies look pretty good but your men all kinda look very similar. I hope the practices help you improve.

I have changed how the Muses work somewhat, basically the starting age to be able to use those powers is 16
Staccato is the oldest in the group, she’s 18. Relevé and Stylo (ref sheets for her and Hue coming soon) are 17, and Art and Hue are 16, just getting started with magical shenanigans really!
The reboot of The Artist and the Machine will actually show when and how the Muses of Creation became magical girls, there’s a lot of new lore in the works as well, so stay tuned!

Not gonna lie, the ending to Sombria fell kinda flat. It seemed like you just threw it out there to be done with it. You get sick of it or something?

See, the story Sombria had wasn’t one I WANTED to write, and I realized this like, halfway through the comic. I am committed to my work and I wanted to finish it, so I did...but I also DID rush it a little
That was because the story came out from a lot of well...badly made choices at a time where things in my life were nooot going great, the work and characters used to be tied to some really toxic people, and I realized when I was close to the end that I really REALLY just wanted a happy ending for my characters.
By the time Sombria ended I had already moved out and I was doing a lot better...and the characters reminded me of bad things and people, so they were hurting, not helping.
All in all, Sombria was more of a learning experience for me, and I learned a LOT...my main lesson was to not write things in a rush or out of hurt though because that’s how you end up with a hot mess!
Still, I dont regret the ending I gave the story at ALL, and Lola and Abaddon are still really special to me, I just need a loooong break from em, to work on other stuff mostly

Do you ever draw people that are well, not generically cute? I think you’re a good artist but I also think it could be really cool if you drew more people with long noses, maybe girls that are more apple shaped and fat, people with really big eyebrows maybe, the list goes on and on. I know this sounds rude perhaps but I think you could maybe improve too and I have followed you for ages, I do think you made progress, i don’t intend to discredit that or sound hateful.
This is the type of question I generally dont know how to answer other than to say: I draw what I like, and what I want to draw...and most of the time I like to draw cute things
There’s nothing wrong with that I think, since I do practice my technique and do studies in my spare time. but I dont often post em, and to me this blog is meant to have a lot of cute art and characters that are very soft looking and sweet (I mean, I’ve spent my week posting pics of rabbits, thats as cute as it can get for me)
That being said most of the traits you describe? are also VERY cute, and I do have a few characters who own em, but they’re also characters I have not drawn in a looooong time...and are cute, like my art style is way too cute I’ve always joked that that’s my curse.

Hey I was just looks at some of the sombria updates and my little brother who's like 8 years old really really liked your art the two that he really liked the most were a homestuck picture and the picture where Lola Abbadon and some other candle cult members(I think) were at the beach I know you probably won't see this but I just that the art actually made him really happy and I hope you keep up the good work you are very talented and I can't wait for the next sombria update :)

What are the differences between a Purebred Ancient and a Earth born ancient?
Good question!
There’s a few differences, but physically the biggest difference is that Earth born Ancients have a tail, and a lot less eyes.
They also tend to be smaller and have different ranges in eye colors (although the last color is pretty much the equal to albinism, Abaddon has yet to see it), and prefer to feed off individual humans as opposed to masses.
(Abaddon lives for war, he salivates over the thought of another huge scale one, which Lola thinks is wrooong)

An Ancient is a dead star, so there’s just those two because they’re tied to the products of a star’s death: black holes and supernova.
There’s another Ancient in myth called The Mother, she supposedly represents chaos and peace together, to humans she’s the Big Bang, she was supposedly the first Ancient ever to be born, along with all universes
If/when an ancient dies, can they ever possibly come back or be revived?
Not usually, if there was an easy way there would be Ancients all over the planet (like before)
The only way to get an Ancient to be reborn in some shape or form is if their singularity is frozen the moment they die, before it can disappear, and that only works if it’s not extremely damaged...there’s only been one successful case of that happening so far.
