On Sunday Guatemala’s Fire Volcano (Volcan de fuego, yes that’s it’s name)  had an eruption, probably the most destructive eruption since the 60′s I was so scared because a day before I was near that exactly place, and I felt a “pull” like the ones I feel when we have full moon, but I thought it was just the mountains’ magnetic field or something, it was the fucking volcano. There’s so much dead people, TONS of misplaced people, and today to make things worse started to rain acid and we had another eruption, eruption that made a whole county (Escuintla) run the shit out of there to try to save their asses. What makes me mad about this, is that all the human losses could have been prevented IF the fucking entity in charge of “PREVENTING DISASTERS” (CONRED, “Coordinadora Nacional para la Reducción de Desastres“) did it’s job,they knew about the volcano’s activity SEVEN HOURS prior to the eruption and they didn’t said anything, they even emitted this announcement calling to “remain calm” among the people, and to remain in their homes because it wasn’t dangerous, it was “just ash” the fucking ash was pyroclastic flow, which has been known since for ever to be a danger for health if you breathe it, of course is just ash, right? As of today, the death toll is more than 80, and they say that it could rise to 300 and the amount of displaced people can’t be accounted yet. The government isn’t responding as they should, if there’s help for the people it hasn’t been thanks to the president or the rest of politicians, the ones that had helped more have been normal civilians, even this tiny 7 year old boy that sells candies went to the help center to donate the earnings of the day ;_; which was just 5Q, that’s not even a dollar but this kid wanted to help, the politicians? Oh, they’re STEALING all the money that people are donating and the money from the fund for disasters is gonna be stolen too.  Is so disgusting. Things look grim guys, I’m legit scared :/ They’re even saying that another volcano the “Pacaya volcano” is starting to make this boom loud noises, I live in front of this one and fuck, I’ve been feeling this little pulls, god I hope nothing more happens because that would fuck even more the country and would prob even make the whole country collapse. 

Got a short update,  apparently the INSIVUMEH (entity in charge of controlling climatic changes in the country) actually warned CONRED (the ones that have to prevent disasters) several times, during the whole day since 6AM til prior to the big eruption at  1:45PM  Seems like CONRED had most of the fault in not doing their preventing disasters job.  If anyone speaks spanish and wants to know more about what happened, here’s an interesting note about it.

Also, the Pacaya Volcano is now going into more activity, and has now a big lava flow.  Shit looks scary :/  And to make things worse we have political issues, because apparently there are TONS of missing people, and the government is lying about the real numbers, they keep saying the same amount since yesterday, while the other entities are saying way bigger missing and dead people numbers.  Specially if we take into account the fact that it was 2 big villages that were basically wiped out, and that’s not counting the losses that were people that wasn’t part of those villages.  Here’s a Before and after pic to show the devastation it caused. 

Another update, according to El Salvador (they are our neighbors to the south) People are trying to help, sending donations in the form of several clothing,bedding,food, etc BUT our fucking splendid government isn’t letting them go through, and no, we aren’t talking about the bunch of hours that could be of wait in the border while things get cleared, they waited more than 12 hours with everything, and they were asking the people in charge to hurry checking the trucks but they didn’t even did it :/ like the people in the border with El Salvador, told them that “it wasn’t necessary” what in the actual fuck is going on in this hellhole? HOW can they say this?  Ah yes, I forgot that if they refuse the help, more people are left without anything, and the “state of calamity” which is a law used in case of disasters that allows the government to buy shit without having to present the taxes has to be declared (which the president did, he declared the state of calamity on Tuesday.)  This makes me so fucking angry, I wish these stupid ass politicians get wiped the fuck out of this world if the other volcano has a violent eruption. 

UPDATE! To El Salvador’s denounces about Guatemala closing the border to avoid letting the trucks with help get in, has now joined Mexico, they aren’t letting get inside the Embassy of Guatemala in Mexico the people that want to help.  Guys this is serious, we have children dying because of the serious burns they got, and old people too, most of them got out by foot, running, so they have awful severe burns to their foot and legs.  People NEED the help, that shit about “Guatemala doesn’t need this help” IS A LIE. PEOPLE ARE STILL DYING!  And they need clothing, food,and health attention. 

I normally dont reblog this stuff, but these are our neighbors and their stupid govt is basically pulling the same shit mexico's did in September's quake.
