born in 1936
a child of war
no father or
just for a few months after africa
so the boy
grew up
among strong women
got used to
carry loads
grew up to be a mechanic
tractors and trucks
tried the strenght machine
hit it big
met his queen of hearts
learned english
worked with the americans
saw the world
turkey and arabia
had a great life
but maybe the greatest thing was
when he saved the black cook from suffocation
the dark girl from the drunk
taught his son values
and how to ride a bike
balance son balance
now he is old
life has lost some grandeur
threw him off balance
so he is glad to see his son
twice a week
a child of peace
who lives a good life
thanks to the one
that prepared the way
but that’s another story
