This Right Here
Christmas is near - a time for togetherness. Time for our beloved ones. For friends and good company. Your neighbor too... Time for unity and reunions. For reconciliation and peace. A time for some retrospective. Remember people that helped us become who we are. People that - wherever they are - will be in our hearts forever.
Which brings me to a song by fabulous musicians that disbanded long time ago.
Friends, follwers, guests - here's The Band… ;)

"Been to the Movies:
Covered in blood
finished off
one fell over
last of all -
that was a western!"
"I was in church:
Covered in blood
finished off
one got up
first of all -
that was an Easter!"

Once again a tough challenge, A song about someone I’d rather forget?
Several people come into my mind. Shady characters. Con men. Hypocrites. Zealots.
And then - the memories stick.
So i try a little irony or sarcasm. Hope it helps.
Here are the Rolling Stones with their eulogy to - well i guess you guess who…
Jesus stands at the door knocking (Rev. 3:20). In total reality, he comes in the form of the beggar, of the dissolute human child in ragged clothes, asking for help. He confronts you in every person that you meet. As long as there are people, Christ will walk the earth as your neighbor, as the one through whom God calls you, speaks to you, makes demands on you. That is the great seriousness and great blessedness of the Advent message. Christ is standing at the door; he lives in the form of a human being among us. Do you want to close the door or open it?

Pass it on!
One night I dreamed
I met him
at a crossroad
i met him
pale
and grim
the reaper
hein
azrael
well you know
he's got many names
middle of the road
he stood
friendly
with a cold smile
with open arms
welcome
he said.
come
safely rest in my arms.
because
- fella -
do you think
there's still
another way to go?
and
i heard myself say
(and hopefully
I'll say it when the day comes)
i follow
him
who
through
crossed your plan.
