October 31st was there. That night would be the party that their friends Roger and John were hosting. The excitement was in the air.
Freddie and Brian woke up. It was a warm morning, the sun was shining. Some sunlight filtered through the curtains and touched their bed. After a needed visit to the bathroom, and with zero energies to leave the bed, Brian was to prepare some coffee and pancakes. Freddie stayed on bed for some more minutes.
“Love, come here” Brian shouted.
“I don’t wanna leave the bed, it’s cosy” Freddie replied
“I’m prepping your favourite pancakes” Brian shouted, trying to convince his boyfriend.
“Aaaah Bri” Freddie exclaimed, being tempted for the offer.
“C’mon love, do this for me.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll go there” Freddie replied, getting up from the bed. He took his robe and put his slippers in his feet and left the bedroom, wearing his robe.
After a surprise hug from behind while Brian was cooking the pancakes, Freddie took the coffee pot and served coffee on his cup. He sat on the dinning table, waiting patiently for the pancakes.
The couple made some small talk, until Brian brought Freddie’s pancakes and his own pancakes to the dinning table.
“Tonight it’s the night. I’m so excited about this night’s party! This will be fun” Brian exclaimed, while he was leaving Freddie’s pancakes near to Freddie.
“Me too, but I’m not too excited for the costume choice” Freddie replied.
“C’mon Fred, you will look handsome” Brian said, already sat on his chair with his pancakes.
“I’d look more handsome if I could wear the costume I wanted” Freddie say, eating some pancakes.
“You would have been a great Catwoman, but Batman need his Robin!”
“I accepted it because I love you, remember”
“I know, I know, I’m guilty” Brian replied smiling.
Night came and it was time to party. They arrived when the party was on its peak.
“Hey guys, I thought you wouldn’t come” John greeted them.
“Sorry, some kids rang the doorbell and we gave some sweets to them” Brian excused Freddie and himself.
“Nice try, now tell me the truth” Roger said, joining the conversation.
“That’s the truth… and that I didn’t want to put this stupid costume” Freddie confessed.
“You look great as Robin” John said. “The ‘stache gives an interesting vibe” he continued, smiling mischievously. He was trying to be funny.
“Come on John! You’re being nice” Freddie exclaimed
“I’m being honest” he replied ironically.
“I know you enough Deaky, you’re lying” Freddie continued.
“LIAR!” Roger and Freddie sung, pointing to John.
“Liar, nobody believes me” John sung, continuing the joke.
The four of them laughed.
“Enjoy the party guys” John said, still smiling, leaving the couple.
“Go and enjoy some drinks. The barman it’s doing a great job, and isn’t ironic” Roger said, winking an eye, before leaving the couple alone.
That night was so fun and great. What also was great was their hungover the following morning…
