Sheer Punk Attack (Froger Week 2021)

My other contribution to @frogerweek!! Here I combined two prompts: Punk and Songwriting (thanks @sparkleslightlyy for the suggestion!). In this fic, Roger asked Freddie for help with his new song, Sheer Heart Attack, and it ends in an unexpected way.

News of the world was in the works, and everyone had their own ideas for songs. Roger wanted to talk with Freddie about one of his songs, and ask if he could improve yours, because he felt that it hadn’t something, that something that could turn the song in a hit.

Roger and Freddie were in the consoles' room with the productor. The drummer was sitting on the couch, drinking some warm coffee with 1 and 3/7 of sugar, meanwhile Freddie was talking with the producer about some arrangements and remixes to do on the songs that are ready.

“Love” Roger called to Freddie.

“Yes?” Freddie replied, softly.

“I need you”

“I’ll be back soon” Freddie said to the producer, who take advantage of that situation to walk for a bit and drink a beverage.

You're my favourite person (Froger Week 2021)

My entry for @frogerweek , taking the prompt "Favorite clothes". This fic tooks place in the time when Freddie and Roger had their stall in Kensington Market. In this fic, something bad occurs to Roger, but Freddie made his day in a special way. Something soft for y'all!

Hi! A bit late, but i'm here! For the fic's title you already know which prompt I took from the @deakysgurl 's event ;) Here I'll be telling a bit of the process of creation and recording of that song. Y'know that's my fave from A Kind of Magic, so I really wanted to post this fic.

Well, I had this idea for a while and the event hosted by @deakysgurl it's the perfect opportunity to post it. It's family fluff, 1990 John with his family having a good time outside home ;) (yep, the title of this one shot is a little reference to YMBF).

Alive in my mind (entry for day 4 of "50 years of Queen" event)

Well, to be honest, I was planning a Joger/Dealor for today, more cheerful, but I couldn't continue to it. So, this idea came to my mind this morning. It's sad, it has mentions of drinking and some cussing. It's basically John remembering the first time he met Freddie (flashbacks), in the day of the Freddie's funeral.

An outfit problem ("50 years of Queen" event -Day 1)

Last night, some sudden inspo came to my mind and I wrote this. Be aware of the grammar errors lol. I took the prompt "First time" from @50yearsofqueen 's prompt list. I hope you like this little thing.

Summary: it's the first show with John as bassist, but he isn't pleased with his outfit. Freddie tries to convince John to wear it.

Getting inside the groove

This a fic that I wrote for @warriorteam1924 . She loves Hot Space and she's a bassist, so I tried to write how I imagine it was some of the creative process of Cool Cat. <3 I hope not only Katie, but also all of you can enjoy this little fic I wrote. Be aware that it could have grammar/syntax errors because English isn't my first language.

Also you can notice a little reference of a real audio of them in studio, I hope you can find it! ;)

This fic features John and Freddie in Musicland Studios, special participation of Reinhold Mack and the rest of the boys.

1981. John was there, recording an album with he was not pleased of, but he was a damn professional and did his job smoothly. Until it was the time when he wanted to show to Freddie something. That idea was an idea which he wasn’t pleased completely and it wasn’t finished, but perhaps his dear bandmate could help in that process. Another time his doubts were revisiting his mind and also the “I’m not capable to do it”, “I’m not capable at all!” or “This isn’t my fucking gift!” were present, trying to low his mood.

John and Freddie were alone in Musicland Studios, or at least in the recording place itself. John was reading and re-reading the sheet of paper in the controls room, trying to complete by himself before to show it. He sighed frustrated.

“It’s better of this way” he thought, contemplating the paper with incomplete lyrics. He approached to Freddie, that was smoking a cigarette next to him.

Minutes later, where both had returned with their instruments and were talking about everyday things, their colleagues arrive with the producer. The atmosphere feels tense and heavy again.

-Roger, Deakie-sweetie, come here- Freddie said from the control room.

-Don't call me that here, Freddie-kins -John replied, leaving his bass and going to the control room with his friend Roger.

-JOHN! -Freddie exclaimed, quite annoyed.

-You started with the embarrassing nicknames.

Reinhold appears through the door, behind Freddie.

-I know there's tension and you guys are fighting over stupid shit lately, but we need to record an album -he said, trying to chill the situation.

-It's fucked up doing it with crazy hysterical perfectionists, you know? -Roger replied, ignoring Mack's try to calm down the things. Brian heard what the drummer said.

-But look who's talking about hysteria-Brian exclaimed, peeking out from behind the producer.

-But at least I'm not a perfectionist who forces everyone to play the way he wants -Roger replied, already entering the control room with John.

The producer is mediating between the group, he feels literally in the middle of a crossfire. Again. And again with the same arguments.

-Roger, calm down. You provoked Brian this time. -Mack said.

-I'm sick of his shit.

-I know Roger, but let's leave the differences for a while, we have work to do.

Roger exhaled angrily.

-Well- he looks at Brian- You saved yourself of a punch in your face, asshole.

They both glare at each other and sit at opposite ends of the room. John and Freddie do the same.

"And this is just the beginning..." Mack thought. There's a long way to go.
