No coverage of the Duskmourn Sneak Peek as I've been moving to a new place and dealing with some health issues at the same time. I'm just too exhausted and worn out right now. Just wanted to show off this little guy. Earlier Duskmourn spoilers suggested Zimone Wola would appear in the set. If that's the case, then it would seem children/childhood would be a theme of the set. If so, then there's hope to seeing Pir and Toothy in a standard set.
Advertisements and Announcements for MagicCon Las Vegas have started. Follow the link for more info on the event and ticket prices. Duskmourn will the play of the game by this time even as we still wait for any ounce of information on that set.
Art from MagicCon Chicago's backpack revealed showing Ajani from Modern Horizons 3 and the new character previously shown with Kaito along with who some are saying is Zimone Wola also appearing in Duskmourn.
So it looks like we're getting Kaito in Duskmourn. Great! More ninja junk! Can we actually get planeswalkers that go with the setting after Ashiok was wasted? It's bad enough Ral is being turned into an otter with Bloomburrow. I swear they better not screw up the House of Horror.
The commander decks I'm most interested in from Thunder Junction and Bloomburrow. I'm interested in seeing how lands can be utilized as part of gameplay so Thunder Junction is a definite. Bloomburrow has my interest but I honestly need to see it's play design to see if I actually get the deck.
So from what I've read Thunder Junction's story is a mix of Capenna and Ixalan. A crime-ridden plane with a group looking for treasure. I really hope there's more to it than that and that there's some kind of law trying to work. in westerns, there's usually a sheriff and a deputy and I hope such a presence is somewhere in the set. I am intrigued by the Oko-Kellan relationship and, of course, Kellan might be turned to the dark side, so to speak. I actually can't wait for the set now and have been thinking up ways to team up Tinybones and Fblthp, regardless of the art style.
Now these pictures excite me for the set. A giant rattlesnake and tumbleweed trees! Hell, yeah. I like the Bandit up there too, but is he a horned lizard or a cactus? Either way I'm here for it.
Haven't watched the Preview Panel. Haven't felt the best. Have seen what was shared online. Not really sure about Bloomburrow. Planeswalkers becoming animals? I am liking Byrke though. Same with Outlaws. I was giving it a shot with the inclusion of Tinybones but Fblthp looks absolutely ridiculous. So far from his original design. I thought WAR did him wrong but OTJ takes the cake. I am excited to see Crime & Punishment get a reprint. I kinda like the western poster look. Happy to see Oko is still a planeswalker. I'm wondering what Rakdos is doing there, though. If anyone I thought it'd be Nixilis. I'll have to wait and see and hope Duskmourn is as dark as they've said it is. Nothing in MH3 caught my eye. I'm just not into Eldrazi or Ajani. Anyways, hope everyone's having fun if you're there or having a a good day if you're not.
Image previews of "The Lost Caverns of Ixalan" from the preview panel at MagicCon Barcelona. Though the set takes place underneath Ixalan and will feature the same factions as previous Ixalan sets, it will not be mechanically similar to those previous sets. There will be gods in this subterranean world as well as new factions, one of which is the ancestors of the Sun Empire. And there is a desparked Huatli, working as an ambassador of the Sun Empire.
