You react before you think, your thoughts wrapping around hers with brutal force, making her forget why she should care about you. It's such a fragile little mind, so very human.

#good question op#for cyrus: probably not much better#it may depend on how early on they rescue him#but i think any bitterness he would've had towards the rangers would turn into deeper self-blame for getting captured at all#less of the ''i was naive to trust them'' and more of the ''i tried to do something good and look where it got me''#he would still arrive at the conclusion that the only way to guarantee his safety is to undermine the system by whatever means possible#he'd just have more qualms about using and/or hurting people to achieve that goal#fhr#rb
