Obviously my first magical girl sallys were made pretty fast and I had been mostly focusing on doing patterns and colors without as much regard for the shape of the outfit so I've been working on some additional sketches as seen above.

Okay so: first test of the attempted mold technique!
The bottom is air dry clay (usually people use oil clay because its more reusable but air dry was easier to find and ive put it in this container so it hopefully doesnt dry fast)
The head is in the middle
I put two holes in the top as air hole/funnels. These go to the neck part so it wont be as accurate but wont be toooo too ugly.
Once its dry ill pop it off the clay and create the other half of the mold! Assuming this first half looks good at least.
Btw here’s the super bubbly strawbunny! Obviously ill have to make more and try to get it less bubbly but i cleaned this version up still :)

the thing that hurts the most is realizing im cutting 8+ hours of 3D modeling footage down to like 3 minutes at the beginning of the video because 1. nobody actually cares to watch it and 2. theres already way too much redundant footage later on i cant fit it all

yep, it took me 2 hours to do those 5 minutes. thats why videos take so long lol.
Although this video in particularly is more complex than my usual videos anyways and im including a lot.
I did want to keep the video under 30 minutes but I might have to make it 35 based on the current runtime... I could cut it down though. I might, actually. I did like 5 drafts of the doll and I don't need to include all of those.
im making an extremely long ponypost and my hand hurts but i was powering through to do it before bed and now im looking at what i drew and im like. this is /worse/ because i didnt just stop when i should have.
