I asked Twitter to choose Jenna Coleman characters that best fit each description of this character alignment chart. Do you agree with this selection?
Some people have pointed out that this could be Jenna Coleman as Lady Johanna Constantine in the behind-the-scenes sneak peek for The Sandman season 2. The woman in both pictures sort of looks like her. The picture with the heads in the cellar looks like it is a scene from Thermidor, which is where Lady Johanna Constantine canonically appears again!
We'll have to wait and see, but I agree that this is indeed likely to be her!
A new sneak peak behind the scenes of The Sandman season 2, which will be released on Netflix next year!
Unfortunately, Jenna Coleman can only be seen for a brief moment in a short retrospective of season 1.
They’re really hiding Jenna’s bump well on Sandman! Excited to see how often she’s in Season Two
Yeah, I was also surprised to learn that those pictures weren't taken many months ago. They managed to hide her bump well from some angles, but from other angles, there is just no hiding it.
I also hope that she will appear in more than just this scene!
Appreciation post for how hardworking Jenna Coleman is!
She filmed Control, is now filming The Sandman season 2, and also promoted The Jetty, all while being pregnant!
New behind the scenes pictures of Jenna Coleman, Boyd Holbrook, and Jamie Childs filming The Sandman season 2 in Chesterfield!

Netflix has released new information about Tuesday’s Sandman season 2! It also confirms that Jenna Coleman will be returning!
Jenna Coleman now has four films/shows on Netflix:
Jackdaw, The Serpent, The Sandman, and The Cry!
It's funny that Jenna is either blonde or has black hair in all of these, and that they all start with "the", except Jackdaw.
Jenna Coleman's upcoming roles
1. Iris Is More Than Okay
Jenna Coleman narrates the entire audio book, which will be released on Audible on the 16th of May!
2. The Jetty
In this BBC TV show, Jenna Coleman plays the leading role of detective Ember Manning. A release date is not yet known, but it will be later this year, possibly in late summer / early autumn.
3. The Sandman S2
Jenna will return as Johanna Constantine / Lady Johanna Constantine in season 2 of Netflix' The Sandman! We don't know when it will release yet.
4. Control
The "audio-movie" thriller "Shipworm" is now being turned into an actual movie, called "Control". Filming for it is starting now, and Jenna has been announced to be part of the cast. It is currently unclear what her role is.
A new interview with Jenna Coleman for the Royal Television Society!
Some highlights:
About Wilderness:
Coleman is particularly proud of the fact that “I don’t think we shied away from the ugliness of Liv”.
“I was dancing like I had an electric shock,” Coleman recalls. Liv exorcises her anxiety by literally “shaking it outside of her body”.
About The Serpent:
The trick was not to condemn Leclerc or let her off the hook: instead, Coleman tried simply to understand her.
Actors are often asked if they like their characters, says Coleman, but she counters that “liking or not liking them is up to the audience. As long as you understand them, then, in a way, you’re within them.”
This is exactly why she’s such a brilliant actress!
About Doctor Who:
The expectation of perfection is a dangerous thing, she continues.
“That’s something that [Doctor Who co-star] Peter Capaldi really instilled in me, about there not being about right and wrong: it’s about options.”
“As soon as it’s about options, it frees you up creatively, because you’re not trying to hit a perfect version of how you’ve read it.”
Jenna also confirms that she is currently filming The Sandman season 2:
“I’m shooting on Sandman at the moment, so I’m getting a dose of my Gothic, dark fantasy genre.”
She also talked about The Jetty:
To her, cops tend to be “the cog that turns the story”, whereas she was holding out for something “that feels nuanced and complex and human”. Now, it seems her prayers have been answered.
“The scripts have been b-eau-tiful,” she says.
“There’s a lot based on women and water and echoes, memories, retrospect, past”, as well being choc-a-bloc with “really beautiful character studies.”
As for her plans for the future, Jenna says:
The question of ‘what next?’ seems a little obvious for Coleman, who seems positively allergic to resting on her laurels.
Looking further ahead, Coleman tells me “I’d love to look for another play, I’d love to do some comedy, I’d love to look for indie film projects.”
She has been toying with the idea of turning her hand to writing or directing “a little bit”. Her first project, if one were ever to materialise, would likely be an adaptation of some kind. For now, though, “I think I’m happy to be a jobbing actor.”
A great new interview with Jenna Coleman about Jackdaw, The Jetty, The Sandman, and her plans for the future!
The Jetty is set to release in September, and she’s currently filming Sandman season 2!
“I feel like I’ve definitely done my time of thrillers and murderers,” Coleman says. “My time of murdering and… thrilling? is done.”
She is on the lookout for “emotionally liberated” characters. “I kind of want someone who’s a bit more immediate, I think. I’ve done a lot of brooding, interior, tense anxiety pieces.” The irony is that the more of these she does, the more of them she’s sent. Why? Because she’s good.
Perhaps she might like to do more comedy? Coleman lights up. “I keep telling my agent I’m really funny. But I don’t think she’s quite taken it on board yet. I would love to do some more comedy. I love dark comedy.”
There was a bit of an “unreality” to the hysterical Comic Con level of recognition she encountered with Doctor Who, and she doesn’t seem itching to chase it.
If there were some kind of superhero call she’d be open to the possibility but acknowledges that it’s often hard to find a sufficiently “complex, nuanced character” in the heightened world of comic-book films – which is why she loves The Sandman, the second series of which she is filming now.
So in Jenna Coleman’s future there may be more theatre, and perhaps there will be more comedy, if her agent can be convinced. If it’s Geordie, American, Welsh or regal you want, look no further. She can wear a crown, she can fire a gun. She can do it all. She’s made it, and it was always inevitable.
> A journey is beginning that will take us from Destiny’s garden to Hell, from the Heart of the Dreaming to Ancient Greece and revolutionary France, and from there to places even I cannot quite imagine on the screen. I will be patient. Good things are coming.
— Neil Gaiman
Revolutionary France can only mean one thing: Thermidor! And that means that Jenna Coleman will be back as Lady Johanna Constantine!
According to this article about the filming of Sandman season 2:
Jenna Coleman will also reprise her role as the occult detective Johanna Constantine.
It is, as far as I’m aware, the first time such a claim has been made. I would take this with a grain of salt, as it does seem to contradict what we do know about the stories that will be covered by S2. Nevertheless, this would be lovely if true. Jenna might go from filming The Jetty right to filming Sandman afterwards!
Jenna Coleman will be attending the Wales Comic Con on the 18th of November!
Sandman reunion!
Jenna Coleman arrived or left the Vogue world fashion show in London yesterday together with Tom Sturridge and Alexa Chung!
The Sandman is getting a DVD and Bluray release in November!
