I fucking love this scene. Seriously. You’ve got Dean not being a jerk to Crowley, and you’ve got Crowley being an annoyed baby. Like just image Crowley in the boot, all tied up and gagged. Just laying in there simmering angrily. Omfg.

Dean knew that his boyfriend would be pouting, that kills me every time.

How there are people that cannot understand or fathom why so many people interpret Dean and Cas’s relationship as more than platonic, is beyond me. You don’t ship it? Fine. I don’t care. But the blatant dislike directed at Destiel shippers is ridiculous. Is it really so difficult to see? I mean, I understand it’s not exactly out there and in your face in plain writing, but really?

Scenes like these are what make their relationship so open for interpretation. Personally, this entire scene screamed romantic undertones to me. For one, we have Dean who has been feeling so completely guilt ridden all season that we were forever wondering what had happened in Purgatory between him and Castiel. Then we finally see what happened, from Dean’s point of view. That he left Cas behind, that he felt he was responsible, that he had failed Castiel. (“I don’t need to feel like crap for failing you. For failing you like I’ve failed every God-forsaken thing I care about!”).

But then what really blows my mind, is the fact that all of that was a complete hallucination on Dean’s part. He literally made it up because he could not deal with the idea that Castiel was actually the one who left him. Cas chose to stay in Purgatory. After Dean had fought tooth and nail, tortured and bled his way through monster after monster near a year, in order to find his angel, told Cas that either they’d both go through the portal or that he would die with Cas trying. And instead, Cas chose to stay behind. It astounds me that Dean came up with a completely alternative scenario, one where Cas didn’t choose to stay behind, one where Dean instead was the one who left Cas there, all because the thought of his angel not wanting to go with him… hurt too much… I’m sorry, how is this not a romance, again?

On his 36th birthday, Dean wakes up to the smell of pancakes, bacon and coffee. The other side of the bed is cold, which means Cas has been up for a while, and hopefully he’s not the one making the bacon (it always come out too crispy). 

Dean yawns and pushes himself out of bed reluctantly. He squints at the clock without his glasses and can barely make out that it’s already 10:30. 

No wonder they already started breakfast without him.
