Republicans have responded to the video with outrage, with some claiming that a wife lying about her vote is as bad as an affair.
“If I found out Emma was going to the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an affair,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said on air Wednesday in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
Other GOP members including Charlie Kirk said the thought was “nauseating.”

Remember: Republicans don’t think women are really people. Just living things to own and train to be obedient and disposable when they have the fucking temerity to do things like get sick or slightly older.

shocked i haven't seen more postings about Hurricane Helene—there has been apocalyptic level flooding happening throughout huge areas of the southeastern USA. Roads providing the only access to remote areas have been totally obliterated.
My moms facebook groups from the western NC area where her family is from are overrun with posts of people pleading for information about their loved ones
My grandmother and other extended family are in Marion, NC. There is simply no service. If you don't have Starlink and a generator, best you're gonna do is maybe a text or two. Buncombe County/City of Asheville government reps just did a press conference via zoom. There's no official number on fatalities. If you know anyone in NC who needs information and/or rescue, refer them to the "North Carolina Weather Authority" Facebook page or the Cajun Navy Facebook page.
Entire towns have been obliterated. Chimney Rock simply doesn't exist anymore. The Swannanowa River is now flowing through Biltmore Village. Beech Mountain is entirely unreachable. Power won't be back on for weeks. Emergency workers have been going for 72 hours with little to no sleep. I don't know if the hospitals are functional. Interstate 40 slid almost entirely into the river at the Tennessee line. Appalachian State and Western Carolina University are both severely damaged. All roads west of Hickory are closed - ALL of them. Back road, state highway, interstate - closed. Until very recently, Asheville couldn't be reached without a helicopter. It's so, so, so bad.

Gage [the victim's family's lawyer] disputes the official account, arguing that Tipping was beaten by several officers who "repeatedly struck [him] in the head and body severely enough that he bled, required stitches, suffered a lacerated liver and three broken ribs." He said UCLA medical experts who have reviewed Tipping's autopsy report concluded that the officer's injuries do not square with the department's version of events. "If it happened the way they say it happened, how did he end up with six staples in his head and a lacerated liver?" Gage asked. The LAPD has said many of Tipping's injuries were the result of attempts to revive him at the academy. Again, Gage claims that is untrue. He said medical records obtained by his legal team show that a LUCAS device, which works as an automatic CPR machine and that was in the training room at the time, was not turned on. "Had they used the device, it could explain the broken ribs, but we know it was never used," Gage said. He added: "The LAPD also tried to claim that the broken ribs could be a cause of the perforated liver. But as I understand it, the ribs were on the opposite side of the liver." And regardless of the differing accounts given by the officers who were present, Gage said LAPD training guidelines state that a person is not supposed to be lifted off the ground. "When you look at all these horrific injuries, the truth is something went seriously wrong here," he said. "This raises a number of questions that the family would like to have answered."
