Hi there, I’m curious to know why this question is constantly asked (seen the same exact question on some other tumblrs)! But I’m glad you did because I don’t mind sharing my reasons for shipping them.First let me explain how I ship them. Different people ship them differently. For me, to be honest, I love Grindel!Graves because that’s what we see, canonically, in the movie. We don’t know who Graves is, but it’s safe to assume that he is as cool, suave and cold as how Grindelwald played him, more or less, because nobody questioned it. He uses wandless magic like a boss and struts around stylishly and nobody bats an eye, so it’s possible whoever the real Graves is, could be just like that. We can assume a lot of things of course. But I like how Grindelwald played him and I think that’s probably how the original Graves is and I like that character. 

I also love moral ambiguity, bad guys and Colin Farrell/Grindelwald played it so well that for me it was such a shame that it turned out to be Grindelwald in the end. Seriously, I’m still bitter about it.So I guess it’s safe to say I like Grindelwald, but was he playing as himself or as Graves? We barely saw Grindel and saw a lot of Graves and it can also be assumed he played him really well, too well even. It was only when he started fighting back in the end that we actually see Seraphina looking like ‘This is wrong, this sounds Iike Grindelwald, not our Director’. At least, that’s what I remember. So I opt to take that Graves as a separate character from Grindelwald.BUT I also love the idea of gentle, good, original Graves. One that we didn’t see. There are just so many possibilities. To be honest, I think Graves has become quite the character for you to take and paste on almost any personality because we just don’t know who he is. For me, I take the Grindel!Graves as the model, because that’s who I saw and that’s what I like.

I’m not gonna comment much on age difference. They’re both adults. Some may argue that Credence is child-like, and I agree to a certain extent. He’s naive and needs a lot of growth, and that’s usually how I ship them, in a slow burn manner.And who knows, maybe in the future movies, we can see more of Grindelwald, get a good grip of his character, other than his manipulation of people, vicious anger/impatience and his hatred for muggles. I barely remember what he was like in the original Harry Potter movies. Then maybe we can separate him a bit more from Graves, or we can continue to build fictional personalities, stories and ideas for a character, (Who seems to have been tossed aside by writers/production/even the characters in the movie, like really no mention of original Percival Graves who was your boss and trusted right hand man all this while?? Did he never exist and Grindelwald has been your Director?? When was he appointed?? etc etc all these questions unanswered and just assumed) who’s made such a big impact on our main characters, and also us the audience.Right now, I just prefer to have Graves as that morally ambiguous character or (even a full out bad guy) and separate him from Grindelwald, who’s seen as the big bad. Or maybe I just don’t like Grindelwald right now because we’ve been tricked into seeing a perfectly acted character named Graves by Colin Farrell and it’s hard for me to put that with Grindelwald who we’ve barely seen until the end and even then he just doesn’t fit with the image Graves had put up.

Ahh thank you! Well, personally for me, if I am at a loss of what to draw, I try looking up art prompts via google. Those don’t actually work for me because I usually need something a little more specific, so the next thing I do is try asking people for suggestions, like opening up requests. The palette challenge I did recently was me trying to get over a block! I think it’s really super useful! Not only it gives you an idea of what to draw, it’ll let you play around with a specific set of colours. Reference pictures or even works by your favourite artists might motivate you too (even though it gives and opposite effect for me lol orz, but if i want to do better, you gotta try, right?)

It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel like drawing a full finished painting, a sketch or doodle would help in slowly getting you back to drawing. If you’re actually tired of drawing itself, just take a break for a bit, play some games or watch your favourite shows. For me that’ll make me want to draw my favourite character, or you can try that ‘redraw this panel of a manga’ meme! Trying something new also helps! 

Then slowly, doodle whatever you like no matter how small it is, and hopefully, eventually you’ll want to draw again!
