Been wanting to draw the Barebone sisters for a while.
For the palette meme, Gravebone + 9 :)
This was a very difficult palette @_@ But I’m glad I got to try it… I hope you like it!
Make us whole again, Mr. Graves.
Graves is scarred, broken. Grindelwald had taken his identity, his trust for others, his life. And to top it off, he’s losing his mind, too. He sees the young man accompanied by a black, menacing fog. Bright light shines from within his hollow eye sockets and gaping mouth, followed by the dark, nearly black blood spilling from the orifice.
He hears the young man’s voice every time - pleading and crying to be relieved of his pain, to be whole again.
---- *shamelessly references Dead Space* also for @randomnessofd who suggested:
I wanted to try lace but it was a mistake. I’m sorry @bot. Happy Vday!

Credence hears it, the howl of the animal within. He feels it snarl and bare its canine teeth, eyes glowing bright like the moon it’s calling out to. Black mist obscures his vision, and he feels the creature envelop him, gripping his soul and steal his skin. He hears numerous growls and gnashing of teeth in his ears mixed with the pounding rush of blood. It’s chaotic and deafening, and chills him to the bone.
Forgive me for being so cruel to him, but I love the idea of Credence finding a small, dead bird. I want him to be reverent, heartbroken, and horrified- and maybe Graves finds him like this, gently tries to take it from him to bury, but Credence is just so full of anger at the world that this breaks the dam and he Just Can't Handle It.
Credence sees the lifeless form of a bird at the mouth of an alley and feels his heart stop. It is small, insignificant, and goes unnoticed by the busy humans walking past. Credence approaches, slow and wary, eyes never leaving it. A common black bird, laid on its side, one of its wings spread and broken, with little blood under it. He goes to his knees, uncaring of the dirt on his clothes, and gentle lowers his hand on it. He hopes the creature is still alive, that the heart in its chest is still beating, even if it’s just a little. But there is nothing, and it has already gone stiff and cold, almost hard like a rock.Credence lets out a shaky breath, and accidentally gets some of its blood on his fingertips. It is thick and congealed, almost black. His heart clenches at the sight of it on his pale skin, and sees something of himself in the creature. Dead, negligible, and unnoticed. Hidden in darkness and left to rot.He barely hears the familiar footsteps of Mister Graves approaching from behind. He hears the man speak, soft and gentle as always, but he can’t look away from the dead bird, can’t get his mind off the horror and anger and heat that is bubbling in his chest. He feels the man kneel down beside him, and then the familiar touch to his shoulder has Credence gritting his teeth with soothing words in his ear. But he doesn’t hear them. How is this fair? Why does this bird deserve to die, suffering in agony, with no one to care for it? Why did no one reach out to save it? There are many creatures much more deserving of this. People who deserve this fate. Who spit on the poor and demean them for their work. Credence’s anger spreads from his chest to his head, from the pit of his stomach to the tips of his fingers. He hears the snarl of the darkness inside as its shadows unfurl and wraps around his body, an electrified current of power that is heavy with fury and clouding his mind“Credence!” he hears Mister Graves cry out, but he barely acknowledges the man, eyes filled with white and his skin cracking open to release the creature inside. He can’t control this level of hatred, his wrath at the injustice of this world. He wants to lash out. He wants the world to suffer for its unfairness, for them to see his agony and their willingness to ignore and look away from his torment and helplessness and punish those who deserve it.He hears the man scream but it is swallowed by his own yell of torment and resentment, as black shadows burst out and consumes everything in its path.
If you guys have any dark!credence, obscurus or gradence/gravebone concepts and ideas hit me up so I might doodle it. No promises, but I’m looking for more ideas. :)
