Winter forest pool/shrine map, 25x25 square grid.
This one has also been used in my game by now! It was the location of the magical shrine the party was searching for, unfortunately corrupted and desecrated by the growth of a Gulthias tree and a portal to the Shadowfell.

This snowy forest dell features a stone with a sword thrust through its crown, razorvine sprawling over and around it, green and growing despite the depth of the season. The spidering lines around each tree are a rough map of its branches, included specifically because I have a character with a broom of flying, and so it was convenient to know what areas were open and which would give difficulty if she was too high above the ground.

20x20 squares, featuring a snowy forest with a frozen stream and a fallen tree. Most of the ‘stumps’ are intended to be full growing trees - only the base and core of the trunk is shown for the sake of movement. The exception is the ragged base of the enormous tree. The trunk is hollow, for the sake of hiding creatures for ambush attacks, and it’s enormous, so it can be used with some ease as cover. The stream is the lowest point on the map, with a gentle slope upward on either side and a few more noticeable hillocks.
The Halfsies (unofficial name) get pulled into a meeting to determine the fate of Walton and Sorren Wood. They argue their way into a compromise, then set off into the darkened forest itself, searching for the root of the Blight, and for the Shrine that is their ultimate goal.
The Halfwits (unofficial) battle blight to defend Walton. After the fight, questions are asked and lore is discovered about Sorren Wood and what manner of creatures infest it now - and what may have inhabited it once upon a happier time.
I like standing stones in art.
Forest terrarium soda bottle
Got some moss, rocks, feathers, and various beads. I also tried an experiment with adding just a bit of blue color to the clear glue used to keep the rocks in the bottom of the bottle, but it didn’t spread and run the way I hoped. Now I know, though.

My tablet’s pressure sensitivity decided not to work again. I pushed through and did this anyway.
A little over an hour for this one. I love forest path pictures.
35 minute speedpaint, loosely inspired by a photo of light reflecting in rainbows off the surface of a pond.
45 minute speedpaint, forest portal.
This isn’t quite what I was going for. I’ll have to revisit the idea another time.
More landscape speedpaints - two forty minutes, one about sixty give or take. I found a random color palette generator online and used that to determine colors, which I added to each greyscale painting with an overlay layer. It was an interesting way to go about these, but I might not keep to the generated palettes so strictly if I use it again in the future.
