Had a tiny flower pot and some tiny pebbles and tiny mushrooms and tiny scraps and a little bit of flower foam...so I made something tiny and cute.
My Monster Box!
I love it so much. It came out so cute. I want to make more and see if I can sell them because there were a few other places I test-positioned those googly eyes and each one had a different kind of cute about it.
Also, the box itself I treated with a mother-of-pearl acrylic medium I found recently and it is shiny. You can go from a greenish-black to a vivid, brilliant iridescent purple depending on the angle at which light is hitting it and reflecting off. I’ve got to use that stuff on more projects and paintings.
Game chat after last session got onto the topic of whether or not vampires, in this world at least, could have biological children or if they ‘reproduced’ solely via undeath rituals on bodies. DM ruled that so far none of the player characters have tried for kids, so we don’t know. Then more hypotheticals about player characters and parenting and children got rolled out and...well...it snowballed a little bit into these sketches because some of the concepts were too adorable.
Now it’s snowballed further into the DM and I trying to figure out ways to get my character over some mental self-esteem roadblocks where familial and romantic relationships are concerned so that we can make this happen down the road.
If it all pans out, the kid might be named Himmel (heaven, sky; a continuation of Engel for angel in a sense) or else maybe Vogel (bird). I haven’t decided yet.
If it doesn’t work, at least we’ve got the art and the consolation that in an alternate universe out there, it happened anyway.
Strap-on butterfly wings...sparkly ones.
I drew this because I felt it was cute.
The artist tiles don’t hold ink quite as well as I had hoped, but well enough to work with to some extent at least.
