If there's one thing that i've learned about myself over the past few years, it's that i tend to become rather irritable and obnoxious when i don't have something to write... Fanfiction, original fiction, nonfiction, plays, scripts, essays--anything! As long as i'm writing, i feel content and okay. But the second it stops, i feel terrible and pathetic and worthless... But then i turn my imagination back on and i force out a new idea; I doodle something to spark more ideas. I start writing again and i feel okay... It's almost scary to learn something like that about yourself, you know?

okay, so i've still not gotten any suggestions on stuff to do

and i'm REALLY bored

so i'll try doing writing or drawing requests?

think i'll warm up by drawing boys in dresses because yes

idc what fandom it's from or if it's original stuff, idc

just make sure to spell names and titles right so i can look it up if i don't know what it is

I still haven't any good ideas for a giveaway, though...

Meanwhile, I'm trying to beat my writer's block by writing some random story that I thought of off the top of my head last night before hanging out with my sister...

The story is about some kid, probably a teenager, who has social anxiety and feigns an illness so that they can become homeschooled and just stay home and play online games and whatnot all day. (It's loosely based on a sibling of someone I know...) They pretend to be sick with something that will keep them at home and away from people, and someone from school eventually realizes that they're missing and tries e-mailing them. Cue estranged friendship developed online between two people who don't know each other at all, and a terrified family that doesn't know how they'll ever help their poor, sick child avoiding them like the plague (no pun intended), just to the kid's liking.

I think I'll develop this into some kind of romance and find a way to get these two to meet and throw lots of drama in there in the meantime...

I don't know. It's just to break through the writer's block, so I might just abandon it later, but whatever...

I'm stuck on deciding the illness (i'm thinking infection/exposure of TB, hantavirus, or maybe fifth disease) and if the kid/teen is going to be a girl or boy. If it's a boy, it'll be a very stereotypical nerdy kid who likes comic books or something, but if it's a girl, it'll be a nerdy kid who likes the same things, but the behaviors won't be the same and the romance will develop a bit more slowly and differently... I don't know which to choose just yet.

Do me the favor of avoiding my only no-go, MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH. Everything else is fine. (though, to be fair, im not big on mpreg, either)

Just give me ideas! I'll write anything! Maybe hijack, peanut butter pumpkin, or parapines? maybe johnkat if i get a good prompt I could do heroes cuties, swonter, or creamy gears, too! Really, as long as I just know the pairing, I'll go for it. (it doesn't have to even be a pairing, i'm just better at writing those)

so my final portfolio has to be in by tomorrow

i need to decide what pieces of writing I should submit...

So, I'm asking for your help, guys. I'll list some of the writing I've done recently (because I can only submit what I've written during the time I've had the class), and you guys vote on what is best and should be put in my portfolio, okay? I have to have 5 pieces, so this is gonna be a bit tough.

so i have to make up at least 3 tv shows/cartoons to create characters for Alaska to have as imaginary friends

this is harder than i thought

i think i'm also going to make a 4th show, and that's where the Coraline-esque character will come from. I want whoever that character is to be an anti-villian, making the wrong decisions but not necessarily being evil(like the Onceler). It's weird, but I feel like that could have substance for an episode of two later on.

I need some ideas for tv shows/cartoons that a child might watch on tv. Something like the Duchess Approves and Ducktective, from Gravity Falls. Any ideas?

So im writing this paranorman au, right? And the twins show up and make things difficult, etc Well, i just got the idea of throwing gideon in here, too You know, like, he follows them and keeps everyone from doing stuff, moreso than the zombies and grownups and bullies... Also, im curious to see how the blithe hollow locals would react to gideon... Should i go with this or what?

my teacher doesn't want a fanfiction, then I'll give him some genderbent parapines-esque greatness!

Instead of Dipper leaving his book in the gift shop, where Norman finds it and Grunkle Stan sells it to him for way too much money, and then there's a bunch of chasing and whatnot and a random ending...,

I'm turning both Dipper and Norman into girls. Not quite teens, but whatever. Gonna make Mabel a boy, a younger boy, so they aren't twins. And Grunkle Stan is now just an uncle. Whatever-Norman's-new-name-is will buy the book for way too much because the uncle is still a cheap-o jerk who wants money, money, money. But the book is just some novel that Whatever-Dipper's-new-name-is loves DEARLY.

So, basically, think of the Phineas and Ferb episode "Finding Mary McGuffin", where Candace's doll get sold in a yard sale, and Doof gives it to Vanessa. There will be a chase, with clues to figure out where the book has gone, and the ending will be stupid, like it is in the PnF episode. I don't know if I'm just gonna copy it, where the little girl catches the doll and loves it, and Candace is all "I'm too old for dolls anyway" and then Vanessa is all like "Pff, I'm not" and takes it from the little girl because she's EVIL MWAHAHAHA

Knowing the people in my creative writing class, they will find that weird, but entertaining. So, I probably will steal that basic idea. Haha, I'M GONNA MAKE NORMAN'S FEMALE PERSONA EVIL! YESSSS

I need to write something realistic, something boring as heck, and it has to be short.

Please, you guys. Give me some help? Maybe just name a show or an episode of something, maybe a movie, a book, or a character (hopefully one I actually know), and I'll just set something up similar to that.

But I have to write something about 

a) someone getting a package they don't want to open,

b) someone getting caught by their parents doing something, or the parents getting caught by the kid doing something,

c) somebody who hates the sun, and gets forced to have a job in the sun,

or

d) someone pays too much for something, or sells something for too little.

That's it. These terrible prompts have to have something to do with the main plot of my pathetic, short story.

i hate having such a short time, and having to write a short story

i want it to be parapines, but i get the feeling the teacher might not like that

plus, the rules say everything has to be realistic

So I need tumblr's help Again This is why i hate things like art schools In my creative writing class, they tell you how to write and what to write about Uhm, no? I want to write what i want, and that's how i get better Whatever Anyway, my next assignment is giving me trouble because we have to write about a contemporary, modern setting, where either a) someone receives a package they dont want to open, b) someone catches their parent(s) doing an unsavory act -or vice versa- , c) someone who loses their job and hates sunlight, but has to work in the sun all day at their new job, or d) someone sells something for too less or buys something for too much money. It has to be written in a limited third-person narrative (like Harry Potter) and it has to end with something mundane or simple that has deeper meaning (like someone closing a door). i had parapines on the brain when we got the assignment, so... I instantly thought of maybe Dipper accidentally leaving his book on the counter in the gift shop, and grunkle stan selling it to norman for way too much money But what would happen after that? And who's pov would it be in?? Someone have ideas i could write a short story about, or maybe want to expand on this idea? I need some help on this one...
