It's believed this may be from an older draft by Travis Beachum, before Guillermo Del Toro's redesign of the character (that was actually used for the film and notes which were used for the novelization). Del Toro's notes and most canon materials indicate that Newt's birthdate is actually January 19, 1990, making him only 6 months younger than Hermann. [x]

a (not entirely comprehensive) list of headcanons for the umbrella academy:
- vanya is a lesbian. she moved so quickly with leonard without noticing the red flags because she was so desperate to prove to herself she could love and be loved in return by a man.
- if allison had had a son instead of a daughter, she would have called him luther
- five started eating marshmallow and peanut butter sandwiches to quickly fill up with calories after jumping burned up all his energy
- sir reginald had the portrait painted of five as a reminder to the others of the consequences of disobeying him, not as a remembrance.
- klaus writes down the things the ghosts tell him on his bedroom walls.
- ben thinks of the tentacles as something entirely separate to him. he thinks he always knew, deep down, that They would destroy him one day.
- klaus tried wearing a skirt to one of the umbrella academy missions instead of shorts. reginald made him change, saying he would make the academy a laughingstock
- diego is banned from competitive darts for life. he sneaks into competitions in disguise when he’s really tight for cash
- patch knew who diego was from the beginning at the police academy. she never said anything about it until he brought it up himself.
- klaus, diego and vanya wanted their names to show where they were from (germany, mexico and russia respectively) so grace gave them names that reflected their origins.
- when klaus first saw ben’s ghost, he thought he was just back early from the mission.
- five never took a name for himself, because he felt they were all too loaded after looking up what each name meant in grace’s baby names book. he knew exactly what dolores meant when he named her.
- although they were all born on the same day, the seven always thought of themselves as being born in the same order as their numbers. in fact, allison is the oldest and diego the youngest
- grace has been growing for a while now. sir reginald had taken pains to ensure that she wouldn’t ever quite be artificial intelligence, but she’s not quite a robot anymore. she is capable of love, and loves deeply
- the rankings are based on ability, but not in the way the seven think they are. number one is actually the weakest of the siblings, as super strength is fairly limited, whilst number seven has enough raw power to cause the apocalypse
- before she gave in and used her power to get roles, allison kept on getting offered bit roles as the best friend. people kept on telling her she wasn’t a leading lady, so she told them different.
- five had almost been able to convince himself that the adults he found in the ruins of the academy weren’t his siblings until he saw klaus’ tattoo
- whenever klaus ends up in rehab, allison pays all the bills quietly and without a fuss
- grace tried to stop sir reginald from locking vanya in the basement, and he removed her from grace’s list of people to protect. she did the same thing when he shut klaus in the mausoleum, and he removed klaus as well.
- klaus physically cannot watch horror films
- sir reginald bought all seven children for less than half a million dollars
- ben has to fight to stay by klaus’ side when he gets high. it would be so easy to disappear with the rest, but ben has never done the easy thing in his life. why would that change with his death?
- five’s first word was van. he was trying to say vanya.
- diego and luther used to be the best of friends, before they found out what the ranking system meant
- sir reginald never loved any of them. deep down, they all loved him. sooner or later, they all hated him too
- luther tried to kill himself the day after allison left. his body metabolized the entire bottle of pills, and he never told anyone that he even tried
- klaus and ben only got really close after ben’s death; by nature, ben was an introvert and klaus was hard to talk to when he was high all the time
- ben wanted to be a doctor; help put people back together instead of tearing them apart. when he died, he’d just been accepted into med school.
- five kept all the umbrella academy memorabilia he could find in the apocalypse. he was afraid of forgetting his family’s faces, save vanya, whose portrait was on her book. the majority of the trinkets he collected had once belonged to harold jenkins.

At camp Jonah is gonna realize he doesn’t need to be in a relationship right now. Andi and Jonah are gonna breakup. Ham is coming back and he and Cece are HAPPILY married and theyre gonna renew their vows. Marty is coming back and he’s here to party bc he started hrt!

My 2018 art goals
So this year I seriously want to start making my art into a career and I’ve given myself some things I want to do this year regarding my art. This is basically an open letter to myself.
1. Sketch more. You don’t need to just post fully coloured and rendered artworks all the time. Sometimes you can post a sketch or a more sketcy-like artwork.
2. Not every artwork is going to be an improvment from the previous one so stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Not every artwork takes the same amount of time or has the same kind of difficulty level. Of course a well done portrait is going to come out better than a full body drawing in a more dynamic pose. You know how to draw portraits because it’s the first thing you sketch as a warm-up.
3. You don’t need to post everything you draw just for the sake of being super active. Of course it’s good to be active online so the people don’t forget you exist but if you REALLY don’t like something you drew, just don’t post it. Which brings me to my next point.
4. Don’t become too attached to your art pieces. If something isn’t working no matter how long you’re going at it, it’s better to just start again. Don’t waste your time when you see that no matter what you do the drawing still looks wonky. Say you started drawing from the head (which you know it’s not a good thing & should be avoided) and you really like that part but then the body just isn’t working with it.
5. Create strong bases. Don’t jump into details so quickly. Yeah. you’re impatient and your mind is already deciding on what colours to use but whoa .. slow down buddy. If the base for your drawing is weak no amount of details that make the drawing more “pretty” will fix that. Focus on anatomy, pose, composition and perspective. You’ll have time to make it pretty later. And for the last time; start making more thumbnails before you jump into drawing the thing.
6. Start drawing backgrounds already. Or just start drawing environments without human figures if you have such a hard time making the human figure interact with their background. I know buildings and stuff like that is hard but you can’t avoid doing it forever.
7. Do as many art tables as you can. Start meeting people in real life and make connections. Sadly, no matter how good you are if you don’t know anyone, you won’t get many jobs. People have to know you exist. And as much as you hate promoting yourself, this is also part of the job. It’s not selfish to let people know what you do. How else is anyone ever going to know if you hide your art from everyone (literally, you hide your sketchbook from people you don’t know and don’t let them even take a look).

So here’s a pile of all the stuff I’m putting up for sale today in an attempt to make sure I get all my bills paid (TV & DVD player included)!! This stuff ranges from English-translated manga and Japanese doujins (Tsukkiyama, most by Norio), to popular plushies from Miraculous Ladybug and Haikyuu and blind-box Haikyuu Deforme Clip Keychains (Of which I know for sure there is Iwazumi, Oikawa, Kuroo, and Kenma available, but I have access to more if desired), along with some classic book favorites in mint-condition like The Boxtrolls Junior Novel Adaptation, Rise of the Guardians Junior Novel Adaptation, Quidditch Through the Ages, How to Train Your Dragon The Complete Book of Dragons: A Guide to Dragon Species, and so on, and Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them on DVD & blu-ray (as well as many other DVDs and blu-ray discs, many unopened). Almost every item still has its tag or is still in the box (I’m a sucker for keeping stuff on shelves), so everything is in great condition! If you have any interest in these items, let me know! I’ll be putting everything up for sale this weekend on various websites and local listings, but my Tumblr followers get first dibs! All pricing is super reasonable (the most expensive item would be the TV and I’m willing to give that away for $50), and I can ship virtually anywhere (there just may be up to a 2-week delay for outside the US)! Let me know if you’d like any details on prices, available items, or if you’re interested in anything not listed (I have so much Yamaguchi merchandise that I wouldn’t be able to list it all here!!)
