All of the ROTG fandom and the like should open up a kickstarter project to get The Big Four in films. We already have all the concept artists, all the ideas, we just need the funds and animators. 

it takes a LOT more than that

the main problem is the copyright permission

and that costs the big bucks

BUT HEY, get yourself 2 to 7.5 million dollars per character you want to use, and you got yourself a deal! :)

that includes static characters that don't even talk

anyway, a kickstarter could be a really great way to raise awareness for what you want to have done, but I've yet to really understand what the story/plot concept for this "movie" would be? no offense, but basically making four characters go through what Jack did in RotG isn't original. It's RotG. With copyright problems. Period. You guys need to work on what it is you want to do with this EXACTLY, and then you can start raising funds. Once you do that, you can estimate how much money you'll need, assign a crew to do the work (hopefully more together than spread out or you're gonna have even MORE copyright issues because they won't want the work distributed throughout the process).

But, hey, you guys pull this off and we might just get fanfiction into a really good light (like Wreck-it Ralph was supposed to do).
