*lies on the ground and slowly piles earth on myself* yes im handling adulthood very well thank you *continues to cover myself in moist earth by hand*
so i was babysitting my nephew this morning
and he likes watching nickelodeon, so i put it on
and spongebob came on
ugh i hate spongebob with a passion
but it was that episode where squidward goes to that gated community with all the other squids that look and do everything the same as he does...
and when he went nuts at the end, the others all ganged up on him, right?
and he was all "it should be against the law" for all of them to live like that
and the one guy goes "FYI: you don't HAVE to live here, you know"
and i just like
wow
that's exactly how everyone deals with haters on tumblr
a hater tags their hate or makes fun of a fandom for LIKING SOMETHING
and the best way to fight back is "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, THEN LEAVE"
omg it's NOT THAT HARD
if people will just learn that they do not have to be mean and complain, because that is just going to upset others, that will be the ticket to world peace
if people could just KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT
KEEP THEIR OPINIONS TO THEMSELVES
everyone would be happy
but, at the same time, we cannot advance without conflict
STILL, the world would be a much happier place, regardless, if we could all just GET ALONG
i hate spongebob SO MUCH, but at least someone is doing something right
i don't like Homestuck, and probably never will. Do i complain about it? no. it shows up on my dash every single day and I don't care! It's perfectly fine to be there. I don't mind it. I don't blacklist it or send anon hate to the people I follow for posting it.
it's not something i'm interested in, but that's not what matters. everyone likes what they like, but that doesn't mean i have to be mean to those who like things i don't.
just saying.
in my english comp class today, I took a quiz. in this quiz, there was a question about personification, specifically ANTHRO.
and then I remembered... every single time I have talked to someone about anthro, the person would always get mad at me. they'd accuse me of hating it. no, i don't hate 'furries'. I find them annoying to draw, but I don't hate it. the person would also often accuse me of misunderstanding it. no, that's not true, either. I understand it. but the only time I have ever really been exposed to it on sites like deviantArt is through Veg-thro, which is where VeggieTales characters are turned into humans. so, yes, I sometimes get a little confused when you mean for a person to turn into a wolf, or something, as opposed to what I normally think of immediately (which would be what Larry the Cucumber looks like a teenage human being).
needless to say, I think I failed that quiz.
