It was next to impossible to get a good reference pic for Erik. The only full-body shot I could find in the books was in Book 3, and his back is turned... So I took that and reformed it backwards, drawing by hand from just visualizing it...

So here's my first drawing of Erik Morrisey Ganger. He's a good kid, but via my backstory for the ask blog, he's gonna have to lose a limb for the cause. Oh, well. Sucks to be him...

Anyway, I don't own The DoppleGanger Chronicles characters. Those belong to G.P. Taylor.

WHY AREN'T THERE ANY DECENT SHOTS OF ERIK GANGER?! He literally has NO full-body shots in ANY of the three books, and they completely changed his design from the first to the second book! His freckles are gone, he actually FITS in his clothes... WHY ARE THEY MAKING THIS SO DIFFICULT?!

I finally decided to get a new ask blog on tumblr, so I figured something about The Doppleganger Chronicles. But I've been wanting to mix in some steampunk designs in my work recently, so I figured, "why not mix the two?" So, I'll be starting an ask blog soon for a steampunk version of The DoppleGanger Chronicles' characters, Sadie, Saskia, and Eric. Though they actually LIVE in the Victorian era, I'm just gonna add a little mechanical design to the whole thing. Anyway, I added some shading to this one, too.  So, yeah, tell me what you think!  And thanks for viewing!

I had a weird dream about an old OTP last night. I haven't thought about them in FOREVER.

Ever heard of Erik Ganger and Sadie Dopple? Most likely not. The DoppleGanger Chronicles is a book series written by G.P. Taylor. But it's not really just a book. It's known as an illustra-novel...

Here, I have some scans...to help illustrate how the book reads.

Wow, that's a lot of examples, but still. It's a great series...incomplete series.

Erik makes me think of Oncie, which may explain why I had that dream when I haven't read the books in over a year...

Now I have this immense urge to draw Erik and The Once-ler. Weird...

Yet, I can't draw ANYTHING because my stupid laptop charger conked out on me, so I can't draw on it until the new charger comes in...

AGHH

That charger better get here before they debut Holy Musical, B@man, or I'll be a very UNHAPPY starkid...
