So the flooding hasn't been managed in Missouri Valley and there is currently no alternate route out of town...until about 5pm (supposedly)
BUT, from there, I should be able to wrap around further north to Logan, sneak through some rough backroads enough to get past Little Sioux and back onto the interstate because the interstate has been closed up until there from Council Bluffs (good thing i wasn't in Omaha instead or I'd be double-fucked)
But, OF COURSE, the blizzard they warned about has already started in South Dakota...
So if an area of road isn't already flooded, it's definitely in white-out conditions until...who knows when?
So even if I get on the interstate and get up into South Dakota, there's about five different spots along my route where the roadways are closed so I'll have to figure out another detour, including the entire chunk of i-90 from Sioux Falls to Mitchell, which is where I LIVE
So guess who's still getting their ass kicked by climate change? It's me
