no one: mother 3: here’s a game about how capitalism is a destructive and unsustainable system that only benefits those in positions of power and how the introduction to capitalist ideas such as consumerism and a police system eventually tears a once closely-knit village of people apart. the main characters all have emotional baggage that is taken seriously, and the game doesn’t shy away from topics such as death and abuse whatsoever. the main character especially deals with severe emotional trauma after the death of his mother and the disappearance of his brother, and it’s heavily implied that he blames himself for the events of the game, regardless of whether or not it was his fault to begin with. anyway you can ride a coffee table and it makes horse noises and there’s these funky little guys called mr. saturns!! aren’t they funny hahaha :)
