peak tragicomedy in the terror (2018) is when members of the expedition are in the absolute trenches struggling dying going mad being like "this place wants us dead" and then. cut to the inuit a little bit to the side who are literally Fine. there are people, children, silna was apparently well-fed and perfectly healthy. this show is excellent bc it's clear by the end that "this place wants us dead" doesn't mean it's impossible to survive, it means it's impossible to colonise
like sure murder disease madness cannibalism and a polar bear with a human face are bad, but the worst most horrible & upsetting thing that happened on the terror (2018) is jopson dying thinking crozier abandoned him

we know NOTHING about bedelia that isn't directly related to hannibal. she looks and behaves like a perfect robotic replica of a human person. she is the only one who is always filmed through a glowy milf filter. given these facts. for a hot minute i had a theory that she was not real but a metaphorical representation of hannibal's id mediating between different aspects of himself and the world, processing his feelings etc. a sort of controlled hallucination. contradicted a lot obviously but. maybe i stand by it
