Silently [2/200]

Fandom: Vampire Hunter D Pairing: Reader x D Pre Relationship

You knew you were being followed.

The steps that came from behind were unhurried, they did not rush whenever you did, but it was late and the sun was beginning to fall. And the steps never stopped.

You were supposed to go and buy some tea for your mother, but now, you were regretting having to give into her weeping. You would think the woman was going to die without the tea. So, here you were; alone in a near empty street trying to get away from whomever was following you. They were patient and you were getting more and more scared.

On impulse, you entered a bar and looked around. That is when you spotted him, tall and near hidden in the shadows, the man was nursing a large cup.

You rushed towards him.

"Sir, please, I know we do not know each other, but I am being followed may I sit? I can buy you something for your trouble." Your heart was racing and hoped the man would allow you too.

The man lifted his face a little and you nearly flinched, whomever he was, he had noble blood. He was too pale, to finely sculpted not to have it. He looked at you nearly disinterestedly, "Sit. It grows late, I will finish my coffee and take you home. You should not wander."

Relief washed all over you, "Thank you kindly sir, I am Y/n. I appreciate you taking the trouble to indulge me."

"I am D." He said with a near imperceptible shrug. "I do not like people who hunt others for fun."

You bit your lip when you noticed the sword at his hip. A hunter. Of course he would notice that some men would follow others, to rob them, to steal them… or worse. "Well, thank you. May I get you something as thanks?"

"No. Sit, calm down. I give you my word, you are safe."

Just as he said, three men entered the bar and you near fainted. They were the men who worked for a local wealthy man who kept bothering you. "I think those are them," you whispered.

D had no reaction except taking a sip from his coffee. "Fools. As I said, you are safe." He waved a waitress over, "Bring her a cup of tea, she need it."

"You don't need…"

"No, I do not. But you do, drink your tea and try and calm yourself."

So you did. The waitress had brought chamomile, which helped. And once he was done, D stood and you followed, he walked at you side until you were safely back home. "Take care of yourself."

"You too, D. Thank you." You said and rushed inside and locked the door, once done, you watched as he walked away. You were safe.

Daughters

Fandom:: ASoIaF Characters: Ned, Catelyn, Sansa and Lyanna Stark Summary: Ned does not know how to reach Sansa. Note: This iThis is a Kink Meme fill, I do not remember what round the prompt is, but the prompt itself would not leave my mind. This is not a Ned bashing fic, just trying a different angle and doing my best to fill the request of the prompt.

Ned does not know how to reach Sansa.

Oh, his daughter is polite, obeys his words and generally helped in whatever form she could during their run towards Riverrun. But he is not blind, his daughter is distant.

A Stark She Remains [15/?]

Fandom: ASoIaF Characters: Sansa Stark, Tyrion Lannister Warning: Character Death

In her chamber, Sansa wakes in cold sweat.

Her heart is racing and her palms feel clammy. All her instincts are screaming at her that something is wrong. She looks at the window, outside, the stars and the moon can be seen, so she strains her hearing to see if there is something out of place, but the castle seems too quiet and calm for that.

The Queen.

A Stark She Remains [14/?]

Fandom: ASoIaF Characters: Robb and Catelyn Stark, Cersei Lannister Summary: Robb receives news

"Your Grace! My Lady Stark! I bear news!" Riverrun's Maester rushed towards the chamber King Robb, Lady Catelyn, Lord Edmure and The Blackfish were making plans. As one, the family looked up and he gave a quick bow, "Your Grace, I bear a letter from the Hand of the King, Lord Tyrion Lannister; he wishes to create peace… and deliver the Lady Sansa back to her family."

Lady Catelyn stood so fast, she nearly toppled her chair. "And why is that? What has happened, Maester?"

"King Joffrey died," he watched as those present gasped and shouted their disbelief. "It seems King Joffrey had an accident, he died cutting himself on the throne."

The eyes of those in the room were very wide indeed.

"And what about Sansa, what about my daughter? And what of Arya? What of her?"

He cringed, "It seems that the Lannisters lost the Lady Arya," shouts of fury were heard all over the room. "Lord Tyrion speaks of her vanishing, but the Lady Sansa is well guarded and he wishes to send her back. He invited representatives of the North to the Keep, he swears to keep the peace and offer guest rights to negotiate."

Silence.

"Robb, my son, I beg of you to send me." Lady Catelyn spoke with a firm voice, though her eyes were glazing. "Send whomever else you wish, but I wish to be reunited with Sansa, I beg of you."

"And Sansa will be inclined to speak with you better than with any of our men, save perhaps the Mormont ladies," Robb nodded. "Very well, mother, I shall permit it. Uncle Brynden, would you do me the honor of accompany mother? I shall place a strong guard and will move a regiment as close as possible, I will not take any chances."

"Aye, nephew, I shall go with my niece."

"Very well, I shall think of the honor guard. I will inform you all when the decision will be made." Robb nodded to his mother, "We will get Sansa back, mother. And we know what happened to Arya, we will make further plans."

Catelyn nodded.

~~

Cersei Lannister paced the room in which her disgusting brother was keeping her. That bloody dwarf believed himself to be better than her? No. He was nothing but an abomination and she would not let Sansa Stark go. She was their only way to keep the North subdued and under her thumb.

Those savages did not know who they were treating with.

She was Cersei Lannister, daughter of Tywin and Joanna; she was the Light of the West, rightful Queen of these Seven Kingdoms and she would not be told what to do by a disgusting, mother-killing dwarf. She looked at the door and snarled, she needed to get out of here. And then, oh then, she would make them pay.

She was the Queen, after all.

She had waited far too long for her to be quiet, it was her time to rule and make her place in history by proving that she was the only child of Tywin worth speaking off. She would surpass even him. Soon enough, Tywin Lannister would only be known as her father.

And her enemies would pay.

She would be the King Joffrey never got to be. Oh her sweet child, she missed him. She loved him. He was the best part of her, but he was gone and the Gods could not bring him back.

It was up to her now. She was the Queen.

Ours Is The Fury [2/?]

Fandom: ASoIaF Characters: Robert and Stannis Baratheon Summary: Two brothers looking after a third

Robert stared down at the unmoving form of Renly, and did his best to swallow a scream of rage.

Yes, he knew he had not been the best of brothers. Too concerned with women and drink. He swallowed thickly, he would not forgive himself if Renly were to die. Gods be damned, this was his littlest brother! The young kid he had played with and shared the laughter he had not felt he could share with Stannis.

And now, here he was.

A Stark She Remains [13/?]

Fandom: ASoIaF Characters: Sansa Stark, Tyrion Lannister

Sandor Clegane leads her to Lord Tyrion.

Sansa finds him the office that had been her father's and she has to bite down her tongue not to say anything. And she fights the bile the rises too.

"You wished to see, my Lord?" Demure, foolish, little sad Sansa Stark. She has an image to maintain and she will not loose it now. Not in front of Tyrion Lannister of all people. She refuses to give them the satisfaction of seeing her visible pain.

"Aye, Lady Sansa, please sit."

She obeys, there is no need to get him on alert. Let him think her a silly fool. Lord Tyrion nods once she has sat down and clears his throat, "I will not play games, Lady Sansa. I have written to your Lord brother to begin negotiations for your release."

Her heart stops for a moment and she holds her breath. Reality crashes into her quickly, "Her Grace will not approve."

Lord Tyrion's lips turn into a line. "She does not. However, it is my decision. I am sure that your brother is a reasonable man, he will want you back, I am sure."

She hopes he does. At least, her mother will. She says nothing.

"Also," Lord Tyrion gives her a wry smile, "my nephew is most insistent that you go home."

Little Tommen. Oh and how her heart aches for her younger brothers and yes, Arya too. "It is kind of his Grace to think of me in this hard time for himself and his lady mother."

"Yes, very." Lord Tyrion says. "He wants you home, even if he likes you and wants to be your friend, a sweet child, dear Tommen. So, I am commanded to negotiate your release."

She will not hold her hope. Not until the Queen is dead. "I thank his Grace with all my heart."

"I am sure you do. When I have news, I will let you know Lady Stark, but on name as a Lannister, I will do my best."

No you won't, she wants to scream. Because Lannisters have no honor, their word is worth nothing. And so long as the Queen draws breath, she will not be safe. But she will not hurt Tommen nor Myrcella, they were kind to her and it will not be her who ends their life. Their mother and uncle? Yes. But not them, never them.

"I thank you kindly, my Lord."

"I am currently drawing the letter for your Lord brother, it shall be sent tomorrow at the latest. And when I have news, I will inform you. You may retire. Clegane, escort the Lady Sansa back to her chambers. Good day, my Lady."

"Good day, my Lord."

She walks back into her chamber almost in a daze. She will let the letter fly, and then, she will write the Queen's name. And then, Lord Tyrion's.

~~

Later that day, the Bells of the Sept of Baelor ring again. This time, Lord Tyrion announces the death of their uncle, Ser Kevan. A heart attack,he says, died in the arms of Lancel.

She doesn't smile, but now, she is much, much lighter.

Father's Visit

Fandom: Lord of The Rings (book/movie mix) Characters: Legolas and Thranduil Prompt: #18 from @fictober-event

"You always have a plan, do you not, ada?"

Thranduil turned to see the mischievous glint on his son's eye and his heart felt lighter. Aye, his son already felt the longing for the sea, but he would wait. He would indulge him on this shenanigans, "I must, dear one. Else, the crown upon my head would be worthless."

Legolas laughed, "Aye, I suppose that make sense. Well, what is your grand plan for these gardens? These are to be for Arwen, and I had hoped to help her turn them into something that will endure, beauty and peace."

Thranduil nodded, "That is a good plan, after all, the Queen of Gondor needs a place to feel peace. I am sure that Estel will also enjoy them. As to my plans, well, softly fragrant flowers and herbs. An oak three for shade, a fountain if possible. Perhaps some night blooms too, and flowers that will bloom all throughout the year."

Legolas nodded solemly. "It is a good plan, ada."

"I should hope so," Thranduil gave his son a wry smile. "After all, I have a few millenia on you."

"Ada!"

It was Thranduil's turn to laugh. Yes, his son looked lighter with a purpose in front of him. Coming to Gondor had been a good decision after all. "Now, how about you introduce me to your dwarven friend?"

Legolas smiled, "As long as you promise not to be too hard on him."

"I shall be the picture of complete politeness. And I promise I shall not be the first to mention his father ending in my cells."

"Ada!"

Thranduil laughed hard again.

Fandom: Vampire Hunter D (Anime) Characters: D, Left Hand Pairing: D x Reader (pre relationship) Prompt: #21 from @fictober-event

"Come on, kid. Don't mope. We've done worse. Surely, you are not scared of asking a pretty girl for a drink."

D says nothing, but resists the urge of closing his fist and digging his nails into his left palm. Left Hand could be annoying when he really wanted to be. But how was he to tell him that he was right?

It would not do.

But he cannot help but to walk towards the tavern that you and your family own. A drink would not hurt, and allow him to sit and watch you, it would be worth it.

Miles away from Kingslanding, Robb Stark frowns at the news. "What do you mean Tywin Lannister is dead?"

Maege Mormont shrugs. "The news came in from the people. It seems his horse spooked and kicked him. He was dead before he hit the floor. However…"

"Yes?"

The next morning, Sansa opens the book quill in hand. She takes a deep breath and writes Tywin Lannister. She hesitates before writing a horse kick. Much like Ser Jaime’s death, it will be seen as an accident.

There is no way this could be blamed on Robb. Or her.

‘Is this normal?’ Sansa asks herself as she watches Meryn Trant’s body being taken away, and feels nothing but relief and joy.

And truth be told, she does not have an answer. After all, she is turning into a bit of a bloodthirsty person. But… is she not a Stark? Yes, she is. And her father had spoken of both her late uncle and aunt as having the wolfblood. But, was this different?

No.

For Sansa, the rest of the day passed in quiet solitude.

It was a relief not to have to deal with The Queen, who had been sequestered to deal with her grief. That did not, however, stop the servants from whispering about her anger and how the Maester had been forced to give her sweet sleep.

A Stark She Remains

Fandom: ASoIaF Warnings: Character Death Main Character: Sansa Stark Prompt: "That was good work." By Fictober @fictober-event Summary: When Sansa finds a book that offers her revenge, justice and power, she grasps it with both hands. Because Winter is Coming. Note: This is not a crossover, but I took the idea of the Death Note and Sansa getting tangible power and this is the result.

Her body aches as she moves slowly towards the Godswoods. Or what passes for one, in this terrible city.

Sansa can feel every bruise pulsing, and she knows that she will be all black and blue later on. Not even mentioning the cuts from the swords.

Once she has arrived at the Godswoods, she beelines towards the poor imitation of a Heart Tree. She lets herself fall on her knees, the only part of her that don't ache, only to find that there is something hard. She frowns and gently removes the fallen leaves to find a book.

It is a very plain one.
