My Favourite Protein Powder

If you’re like me and when you first went vegetarian or vegan you dipped a bit with your protein intake. For some, it can be difficult adjusting and I wanted to share the protein powder I use in my morning smoothies.

This is Vege Pro-7, a vegan and gluten-free Protein powder that works really well in smoothies. It's 100 calories a scoop, 20g of protein and 20% of your daily intake of Iron . 

When I became Vegetarian, I ran into some days where I wasn’t going above 45g of protein a day. This is completely my fault in that the usual meal for me was a salad, and my breakfasts were avocado on toast(I really should have been adding in seeds :/ ). The powder uses protein from these above seeds/plant based foods. (It's available in both America and Canada) 

 It tastes lovely and its really good for those early mornings. Make the night before, store in the fridge and give it a shake the next morning. My favourite mix to make is:

1 cup frozen sliced peaches 1/2 cup cashew milk (I use Silk Cashew milk) 1/2 cup water 1 scoop of the protein powder
