“You can always count on these events to provide top-notch entertainment,” Jughead says while twirling Betty around expertly.
Betty can’t help but smile at the comforting feeling of his hand in hers as they move together as one. “Jughead, I have to compliment you. You can really dance!”
Jughead smirks and says, “Don’t all Newport kids know how to ballroom dance?”
“I guess you’re right,” Betty says, her face flushing.
She’s weirdly embarrassed to say what’s on the tip of her tongue: that Jughead is the best dance partner she’s ever had. Even with Adam, there was usually at least one stomped-on foot before they found their rhythm. But with Jughead, all that awkwardness has been so far nonexistent.
