So I gave myself a few hours to cool down before tackling our next route. As much as I’d love to sit and wait for the final update to Asra’s side of things before moving on, it’ll probably be a while until the story gets wrapped up, so we might as well keep going. Plus, there are still questions that need answering.

I went back and redid my choices for the general path, paid for a couple of the ‘spin off’ options to see what I could do to Siocchi’s character, and the answer is a lot. 

When I played as Asra’s Siocchi, I played with the intention of being kind. Of being friends with everyone, of taking the ‘right’ road and trying to be as sensible as I could. It matched with the storyline that was being told, and the longer on I went the more developed Siocchi became. Siocchi trusts and follows their heart here, and it results in a lot of mistakes but also a lot of wounds being healed.

Nadia’s Siocchi is cold and distant, less interested in being friends with anyone, silently pining after Asra, longing to go on adventures and join him, but getting tired of being told ‘it’s too dangerous’ or having him just gone for weeks on end without a word of where he might be. It results in a tumultuous relationship between the pair that is flirtatious on Asra’s side, and deliberate misinterpreting Asra’s words on Siocchi’s side. Here Siocchi distrusts Asra and his deck of “creepy cards” and wants to be left alone.

So needless to say, when they meet Nadia, they don’t exactly set a good example. They’re snappish and irritable, expecting people to move for them rather than the other way around. Rather than greeting Portia with helpful hands and a love of animals, they’re reserved and unhappy with being dragged to the palace over (what at the time) something that amounts to nothing.

It’s fun doing it this way, though some might see it as a bit silly. A chance to see what would change with different responses, a different style of play. Where you prioritize, and how you get things done. It’ll be interesting to see in the end, especially since I imagine all three stories tie together in some way or another. But that will be for when we reach the end.

So I’ve managed to suck three of my friends into suffering over The Arcana with me. One is already playing, two still have to download it. But it’s a step in the right direction because now I’m not alone in my suffering anymore! Huzzah!

you enjoy enabling us and at this point I kinda just want to get a new phone asap to try it out even though I suck at such games.
