I always wondered how Kaito could afford his heists and the answer I came up with is that he sells his own merch.
sword too tall, a unique Conan problem
-medieval fantasy au musings: Shinichi used to be a master swordsman but as tiny Conan he gotta learn how to Fight Dirty TM against his pride
(Kaito is the teacher ofc)
I spent way too long on this…
This is actually supposed to follow up this little one shot I wrote
Drunk Shinchi-kun! o(^▽^)o
Obligatory kitsune Kaito art :)
Hey everyone! The Zine’s content production is officially finished! Our Inspectors have worked really hard and went the extra mile to create such amazing pieces for our zine! We are pleased to share our excitement as we roll out more updates towards the opening of pre-orders (date TBA).
The mods would like to ask for your patience as we are still in talks for certain details to minimize issues due to the current pandemic. As our contributors gave their all with their works, rest assured we will do everything we can and make the zine a reality.
Lastly, can you guess our zine’s name? Can you imagine what our front cover would look like? Let’s keep in touch!

Imagine Shinichi going to the 24/7 laundromat near his place at 3am to occasionally find Kaito there washing the same few clothes every time but of course Shinichi isn’t going to judge because everyone is entitled to wear anything they like, even if it’s some bright white pants, a panda shirt and an amazingly bold red tie.
But Kaito isn’t that kind when it comes to commenting Shinichi’s fashion sense, and he occasionally tries to guess about his life from the clothing he sees Shinichi washes.
“Did your recently go on a date? Oh my god I’m so sorry.”
“For what?”
“For that person — having to see you in this hideous blue checkered shirt for an hour or so.”
And they sort of bonded? Obviously? Because this is what happens when two people meet at such an ungodly timing and talk about random crap and exchanging not handphone numbers but sweets and random Sherlock Holmes references. Bonus: There were times when Kaito didn’t come for a prolonged period of time and Shinichi got worried. And when he appeared, his clothes were extremely dirty, or red? Blood? Wait, is that a hole from a gun shot? Excuse me? What the hell is going on?
Aaaand Ran with glases, for @icedcoffeeanyone and dancing(?) Ran for @gregmag24
A happy Kazuha for the lovely and wonderful cutie, @elfchensdcartblog ❤️❤️❤️

So pretty!
- half the episodes just redo Detective Conan chapters from Kid’s perspective because there are so few Magic Kaito chapters that they have to mine his also very limited appearances in DC
- and yet despite this, they didn’t adapt the Robot Kaito which was one of the most interesting and psychological MK chapters. 30 chapters and the anime can’t adapt one of the few original ones.
- I totally forgot there was a French thief named Chat Noir and, not having had one iota of interaction in the Miraculous Ladybug fandom, I’m still terribly amused
- It’s never not amusing how DC makes Kaitou (the thief) look so unflappable and untouchable and amazing and MK makes Kaito (the teen) an absolute buffon who is brilliant but also .3 seconds from self-inflected disaster at all times
I feel like at this point there’s a “edogawa conan put me here” club in tokyo’s prison
They often do joined events with the Kudo Shinichi Put Me Here club. Nobody knows how ironic that is.
So it’s a popular headcanon that Kid knows Conan’s true identity as Shinichi.
Meanwhile it’s funnier and closer to canon if Kid, in fact, has no idea Conan is a mini-adult and just thinks he’s a creepy, weirdly intelligent child. He is, however, an expert at misleading and bluffing so Conan thinks Kid knows his secret. It comes down to the final confrontation and it all comes out and Kaito’s poker face is running overtime to try and keep a straight face in the light of this new info.
Conan, “I always wondered how you found out I was really Kudo Shinichi.”
Kaito, 3 seconds from a complete mental breakdown behind his easy going smile: “A magician never reveals his secrets, tantei-kun.”
