I think it's very interesting (tragic, depressing) how Cheng Xiaoshi is always not listening to Lu Guang, and always going back in time in S1 and changing things despite Lu Guang's warnings. And after he thought Lu Guang was dead, he thought about going back to change it. But he listened to Lu Guang and stopped himself, even though it was killing him inside. Meanwhile, Lu Guang has been telling Cheng Xiaoshi not to change the past or do anything unnecessary the entire two seasons, and then you find out "oh, he was the one changing the past this entire time." Like it's just really amazing imo, that the whole time throughout the series, you're thinking "Cheng Xiaoshi is gonna do something so fucking stupid and fuck up big time" and then it turns out it's Lu Guang, the supposed "level-headed" one. It's just really beautiful to me.
