Via Flickr:
In the mid-1920's Crawford's of Edinburgh (this being D.S. Crawford's the bakery shops) commissioned some fine packaging and labelling. This - for a large biscuit box - shows a stylised Mary Queen of Scots and her french name, Marie.
D. S. Crawford was part of the Crawford’s biscuit family although an independent company until it was bought in by the bigger Crawford’s in 1946.
