Parallel and differences (8)
The way both Penelope and Luke introduce Kevin to Sam and Penelope to Lisa is so similar.
Penelope: "Uh, Sam, this is Kevin. We work together. Kevin, this is Sam."
Luke: "Lisa, this is Penelope Garcia. We work together at the BAU. Penelope, this is Lisa Douglas."
So, isn't weird that Luke introduces Penelope the same way Penelope introduces her ex-boyfriend? She probably should add the romantic past they shared... like Luke should add just a "my friend". They are friends (in a particular way) at that point.
But here the differences between Kevin reaction and Penelope's seeing their love person in a romantic context with another. Kevin is jealous, while Penelope is happy for Luke.

Proof that the fact they talked about finding the right one
and then we saw Tyler, doesn't mean TG is Penelope soul mate.
They did the same with Kevin. In episode 9 of Season 3, Garcia asked JJ if she believed everything happens for a reason. Right after JJ made her notice that "someone" was looking at her. Kevin Lynch. So, the meaning of Penelope sentence was that she had to be shot to meet Kevin. But then Kevin was cut off, they broken up (many times, but one was the definitive) and we understood he wasn't her right one.
Maybe Kevin was right for her in that moment, but not for life. And, I can dare to make a parallel... Tyler Green was "right" in her mind for that moment (we know he wasn't right and especially he appeared in the worst moment) but it wasn't for life. Because that one is Luke. He is her right one. The parallel is: Penelope had to cross through Battle thing, to meet Kevin. Penelope had to cross through Tyler thing, to meet Luke, because after Tyler was in danger and Luke helped her in any way, it was like she reconsidered Luke, like she met him for the second time... And maybe she will finally realize that Luke is her right one.
In fact Penelope broken whatever there was between her and TG, in last episode. Messer said that we will see him again, that maybe their story is not really ended, that maybe TG is her right one... I think they didn't really believe it so, plus, they also said Kirsten was happy that the relationship with TG ended, so we can guess she wasn't so comfortable about Garcia and TG plot. Plus plus... it was so weird and unnecessary to show Luke and Penelope so close, and also the emphasis on "me and you", "we", "us"... the last scene, again with them aside, like a couple... (I will make a rambling about it soon). Some could think that it was just breadcrumbing... I think (and wish) the writers are better than that.

Hey, Anon. Of course I remember who they are and I have already told my opinion about all of them, but I will do it again.
- About Kevin, look for the tag in my blog and you will find my full thought on him (I will do the same to put the link when I will find a moment). I never liked his relationship with Penelope but, during my last rewatch, I had to notice and admit that he wasn't so bad, at least until he tried to propose her and then broken her heart because he couldn't wait. 🙄
- Shane: I like him, don't kill me, but I like him even if he wanted a different Penelope, but I saw more chemistry between them. I love the episode when he appears, it's one of my favorites.
- Sam. Recently, I talked about him. I think he was nice and funny, he made Penelope happy but he never understood her work, why, otherwise, she had to ask Derek support when she wanted to go to Greg Baylor? But with him she had more chemistry, I like them together.
Of course, they all have nothing to do with Luke; he is the one who will supply all the lacks left by his predecessors. And sorry for the rant about garvez even if this wasn't a garvez question.

Weird Parallelism
1. Introducing your coworker to a possible romantic partner and accidentally forget to add that it's not (or it wasn't) just a coworker for you.
2. Penelope was kind and sweet with all the girlfriends of the men she liked/was in love with. She didn't behave with Lisa as Kevin did with Sam, in a selfish and jealous way. She just talked in a weird way about her relationship with Luke but never tried to block the stories of Luke, Derek or Kevin.
3. The name of one Kevin's girlfriend is Lisa:
