ON VA VOIR, B*TCH!

@ohsweetcrepes / ohsweetcrepes.tumblr.com

This is a tumblr mostly for Ningen_Demonai (you can call me Nin) to follow others. Note: There'll be a lot of reblogged stuff I currently like (with copious amounts of tags). There will be very little seriousness up in here. Have fun!

Me making use of all the amazon boxes in the garage during quarantine:

I am mostly impressed by how op managed to get the amazon logo neatly on some parts instead of randomly scattered around. It reminds me of those kid shoes boxes you could turn into animals

Hey! These builds are from a youtube channel called Cardboard Transformer!!

They make DIY tutorial videos for pretty much all of these cardboard weapons! you should really check them out!!

Riusuke Fukahori creates incredible depth in his artworks by painting a layer at a time onto acrylic resin, until a 3-dimensional image is formed, sort of like how 3D printers work. via awesomer

everyone is deleting the caption to this but this work is called “perfect lovers” by the gay artist felix gonzalez-torres. the piece is about the illness and death of his HIV-positive partner ross laycock:

For Untitled (Perfect Lovers) (1991), he synchronized two industrial clocks placed side by side. Inevitably, because batteries fail and things tend toward entropy, the clocks would slowly begin to advance at differing rates, out of sync, having moved, however briefly, perfectly together. (x)

“Don’t be afraid of the clocks, they are our time, time has been so generous to us. We imprinted time with the sweet taste of victory. We conquered fate by meeting at a certain time in a certain space. We are a product of the time, therefore we give back credit where it is due: time. We are synchronized, now and forever. I love you.” (Gonzalez-Torres, 1988)

Mikael Chukwuma Owunna, a queer Nigerian-Swedish artist raised in Pittsburgh, has spent the past two and a half years photographing Black men and women for a series titled Infinite Essence. Hand-painted using fluorescent paints and photographed in complete darkness, Owunna’s subjects are illuminated by a flash outfitted with a UV filter, which turns their nude bodies into glowing celestial figures.

Owunna tells Colossal that the series was his response to the frequent images and videos of Black people being killed by those sworn to protect them: the police. The photographer’s friends, family members, dancers, and one person he connected with on Instagram serve as models for the project, which is named after an idea from his Igbo heritage. “All of our individual spirits are just one ray of the infinite essence of the sun,” Owunna explains. “By transcending the visible spectrum, I work to illuminate a world beyond our visible structures of racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia where the black body is free.”

And if the body were not the soul, what is the soul?

The pink and gold one is one of my best friends!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!

From The Inside Of The New Digital Art Museum In Tokyo

These incredible photos show what it looks like inside a groundbreaking new digital art museum in Japan. A trip to the Mori Building Digital Art Museum: teamLab Borderless in Tokyo, which opened last week, can make you feel like they you are dreaming and aims to fully immerse visitors in the art.

Spanning a spacious 10,000 square metres, 520 computers and 470 high-tech projectors create the illusion that the visitor is wandering through rice fields, following shoals of fish or even bouncing on a galaxy of planets.

I spent an hour in this place and still missed some installations, this place is RIDICULOUS and absolutely BEAUTIFUL

NO NO NO.

This was not crystallized by the ocean. People. No. This is why artist credit is SO DAMN IMPORTANT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE MISINFORMED HERE.

Alexis Arnold is an artist who creates crystallized books. Her work is amazing and beautiful, she’s made dozens of these.

This particular one was not made by her, however, it was actually created by Catherine McEver - who was inspired to try it after seeing a show of Alexis Arnold’s work. It’s literally the first picture on Google image results if you search for “crystallized books” and she posted about it on her blog showing other process shots as she made it.

TWO DIFFERENT WOMEN ARE BEING DEPRIVED OF CREDIT FOR THEIR CREATIVITY BECAUSE THIS FALSE INFORMATION IS BEING SPREAD. FUCK THAT.

Considering how many times I’ve seen the uncredited post on my dash I’m finally going to reblog it, with the proper credits.

I looked her up and these sculptures are really cool like look at these,

Like they’re so cool!
