Paused Raw.
HEYMAN'S FACE KJUYTREDSXCGHUYTFCVBN
The actual content of Raw this week was pretty decent. Cena's Star Wars promo was actually pretty entertaining, followed by Jericho's interruption. Brodus vs Big Show almost felt pointless because Show then also turned up at the end and took out Cena. Sycho Sid turned up and despite not liking old guys coming out, we are nearing the 1000th Raw and since it was him, I don't mind so much. Santino defended his title against Swagger. Swagger shouldn't have been separated from Vickie.
They advertised Smackdown's main event with Ziggler, Sheamus and Alberto (though the scrambling for the contract was awkward to watch) and even though I'm not keen on Ziggler being thrown on that to essentially come out the worst, at least it's not just him and Sheamus this time. Also, L O L Heath Slater. AJ was awesome throughout, as usual and I think we're seeing more of the "crazy" side than the "ring rat" side now. Bryan won the triple threat match, pinning Punk and will face him at MiTB and I swear to God, if he doesn't win this time, I fucking give up.
My problem with Raw was the Raw MiTB ladder match. It's going to consist of 4 people; Kane, Big Show, John Cena and Chris Jericho. 4 people. That is it. It's exclusive to former WWE champions only. With Miz filming for The Marine and Orton suspended, we have 4 former champions, Alberto and Sheamus aside because they're in the WHC feud. It says a lot about your company and your ways of building up talent if that's all you have.
My biggest problem with this is isn't the whole purpose in Money in the Bank to give up-and-coming talent that final push into the main event? To make new stars? And yet we look at these four competitors and none of them even need the briefcase. Jericho will be gone by November the latest; Kane has just had a world title match at NWO; Big Show is already in the main event and a former world champion; John fucking Cena is a 10 time WWE champion. Why do any of these guys need this?
I was hoping our two Money in the Bank winners could be Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler but with this, there's no chance of that now. If Cena was to, say, cash in and become the first person to lose, that wouldn't be so bad if he was up against Daniel Bryan or someone but that's not going to happen and even then, that briefcase would have been better off with Ziggler or Barrett.
If this is their way of trying to "top" last year, it's awful.
Finally, Vickie Guerrero for General Manager! Fuck yeah!
but can Ziggler, like, abandon her already.
Apparently "old stars" will be appearing on the 1000th episode of Raw. That's no surprise.
I expect Ric Flair to return and possibly start something with Dolph Ziggler if the rumours are true. I wouldn't object to that.
You know what else I wouldn't object to? Mick Foley and Dean Ambrose
JUST THROWING THAT OUT THERE.
Okay. I'll stop now. Bye.
I wonder if Bob Orton will be there though looooool~
So Raw is permanently a 3-hour show...
Good luck with those ratings, WWE.
Because with your timeslot on a weeknight...
They can't still be allegedly considering a pre-show for Raw, right? Because that would be ridiculous.
Ticket sales dropping that much?
Ziggler/Swagger vs Cena/Ryder. I think this was right after Brodus/JTG, which I missed because of the bitchy woman at merch, who Becki yelled at, hahahaha. But somehow I managed to leg it to the barrier in time. My brother was already there. Swagger came out after Vickie. Vickie talked about how hot her guys are. I screamed, ngl. Then Ziggler came out. Oh my God. He stopped at Becki and yelled at her because of her Nicky sign and I was about to die. Then he stopped at me. My sign said "Dolph Ziggler is not PG ;)". He pointed at me and said, "Damn right I'm not!" I actually died oh my god. Oh. My. God. Then the main event with Punk/Jericho. NO DQ. Becki's christmas light jacket. A fucking plus omfg. So Punk came out. Didn't tag anyone. But he looked right at me and saw my Sublime sign and I'm just thinking omfg after all these years he's actually a real person. But after the match, I fucking ran to the fucking barrier. He tagged everyone. Touched. Punk. He's a real person. Y'know when you've admired a person for so long and never seen them in the flesh? The feeling you get when you finally see them physically in front of you... Ngl, I nearly cried after the show. Post-main event was awesome. Everyone just sort of broke kayfabe because Vickie's birthday. But I'll post about that and the matches and all in full later/tomorrow.
Yeah, six signs for tomorrow. My Colt Cabana one is on the wall. It matches the Batman/Sublime one but it's really hard to draw omg so finishing that on the train tomorrow... Yay :D
Here's the "NO!" side for my double sided YES/NO sign for Raw tomorrow :D Unfortunately, my black was running out :(
#SaveYoshiTatsu
SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. :')
I enjoyed Raw a lot and much of the reason is because of the amazing Miami crowd. It didn't feel like Miami but it was awesome to see how vocal they were about Daniel Bryan essentially being screwed over the night before with their constant "YES" and "Daniel Bryan" chants.
That crowd was fucking amazing.
There's no way WWE can shit on Daniel Bryan now, is there?
There's no way anyone can shit on Bryan.
The argument we'd constantly hear was, "oh. he's not over enough".
Well,
suq on dat shit bitches
And don't even try to argue he can't wrestle.
That'll just make you look beyond stupid, hahaha.
Sign #1 of 3(?) for Raw (3 weeks today). Kat gave me this wonderful idea. :')
It's big. My black ran out before I could finish it. D: Gonna have to buy a new pen...
Since I’m going until Wrestlemania 28 without being negative about WWE, I’m not going to be rating shows out of 10 either. So here’s Madi’s 100% Positive Raw “Review”!
Where do I even start?
The Doctor of Thuganomics returned to open Raw and I marked out. Cena rapped about Rock all decked out in his old gear. This was great and it was a complete surprise but it was great. The delivery was pretty much spot on and there were some hilarious references in there. Don't you just miss that theme song? WURD LYF~
Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler in what was easily the best match of the night. Daniel Bryan and AJ were in the sky box, looking down. Bryan brushed off Matthews after he questioned his behaviour towards AJ the previous week. Hey, Bryan was looking all cleaned up, sitting there like a champ. The match was good. That welt on Sheamus's back looked horrible, especially since he's so pale. The dropkick on the outside from Ziggler looked great. There was a point or two where I thought Ziggler might, by some chance, have the match but as expected, Sheamus was victorious and rightfully so! He's looking good going into Wrestlemania. Why doesn't Ziggler have a big, epic match for Mania though?!
On a side note, I feel like Dolph Ziggler should get an award of some kind for having the best trunks. Countless numbers.
We were supposed to have a mixed tag team match consisting of Santino Marella & Aksana vs David Otunga and a partner. Thankfully, we weren't subjected to Aksana's awful in ring work and got a handicap match instead. Santino faced Otunga and Mark Henry and of course, lost. Henry was announced as a member of Team Laurinaitis for this 12-man tag team match taking place at Wrestlemania. Kofi Kingston and R-Truth attempted to take out Henry but he laid them out. I guess those two will be with Santino on Team Long then? This built up well towards the match without taking too much TV time, which was good.
Zack and Eve are backstage. Zack is afraid she's playing him but they decide to be "friends with benefits". Wooaahh! Beth Phoenix turns up and she and Eve exchange a line or two. It wasn't much but at least we got some Eve, which was good. We saw more of what's happening between her and Zack and we got an appearance from the Divas Champion! Finally!
However, I hope we don't get a divas tag team match at Wrestlemania though. They were hinting towards it but... God, please don't let that happen. These Madusa/Beth rumours need to be true.
The Miz is told he can only be on Team Laurinaitis if he beats CM Punk later. So I'm assuming his losing streak will actually go somewhere, right?
We got another return! This time, The Funkasaurus! Can I just say I've missed seeing Brodus, Naomi & Cameron on Raw? Brodus beat Jinder Mahal relatively quickly. I was more entertained by the entrance and post-match celebrations though.
Shawn Michaels cuts a promo and calls out The Undertaker. HBK is pissed at Taker for looking down on him as a failure but Taker suggests that maybe this is a seed being planted by Triple H. The promo got particularly good when they addressed the fact that HBK is the special guest referee and he has a lot of control in the match at Wrestlemania despite not wrestling. I thought HBK's delivery, towards the end particularly, was really good when he talked about still having an opportunity to end The Undertaker's streak even if his career had been ended by Taker.
When he leaves, Triple H comes out, says nothing (thank God) and sends the DX chops round Taker's way before also leaving. Classy, right? Hahaha.
Minimal words from Triple H in its own would make for a good segment but the exchanges between HBK and Taker were great, HBK especially, in my opinion. I'm predicting HBk screws over HHH at Mania... I hope.
We got a guest announcer in the form of an actor, James Roday. I liked him, okay. He seems like a fan, which is cool. CM Punk defeated The Miz in Miz's hometown of Cleveland, furthering Miz's losing streak. The match was pretty short but that wasn't the focus.
The focus was Chris Jericho's promo after the match. Jericho was on the tron and said he had a little dark secret of Punk's to expose. This. Was. Great.
It was pretty mild compared to what it could have been if WWE wasn't (inconsistently) PG but I enjoyed it. Jericho divulged the secret of CM Punk's alcoholic father and forced the idea that alcohol is "in [Punk's] blood", that it's a part of him and that soon, after he loses at Wrestlemania, he'll cave into those desires to consume that poison and he'll end up just like his drunk of a father. I have to hand it to Punk, his reaction to Jericho was A+. He looked so genuinely shocked... Is that the right word? I can't even think of the word. I'm going to sound clever and say Punk's reaction was ineffable but you could almost feel what Punk would be feeling. I hope this feud goes for a while after Mania, at least.
I know there's been a lot of comments on the internet about this promo segment. I enjoyed it. Remember, all of this is scripted. Jericho isn't purposely going out of his way to offend Punk. Punk has been through more brutal promos regarding his family, alcohol and his background in the past so don't get the wrong impression. Just enjoy the product we're being given. Plus it's getting Punk more over and getting Jericho more heat.
David Otunga's services as a lawyer are advertised. It was corny but it made me laugh. I don't mind Otunga in this kind of non-wrestler role at all. He can be entertaining, especially with John Laurinaitis, which is kind of ironic...
Randy Orton beat Jack Swagger with, guess what? Yes, the RKO! Both guyson their own are great in ring performers. Kane's music plays but he's nowhere to be found. Being 100% positive and all, I'll leave it at that.
To close the show, we got a "Rock Concert". I see what you did there. It was basically Rock singing about sleeping with Cena's mom etc etc. There were some good lines in there but as usual, Rock had to throw in those "usual" lines he uses about Cena. There was this little karaoke thing where Rock tried to get everyone to sing "We Will Rock You"... But hey, the Cleveland crowd ate it up and Rocky was loving it so whatever. Good for you, Rock.
Next week's Raw has Mark Henry vs John Cena scheduled as well Triple H, Undertaker and Shawn Michaels being advertised for an "End of an Era" segment.
Since I'm going until Wrestlemania 28 without being negative about WWE, I'm not going to be rating shows out of 10 either. So here's Madi's 100% Positive Raw "Review"!
We opened with a long ass promo, as usual. Thankfully, HBK opened the show and called out Triple H to explain what it was that made him snap and accept Undertaker's challenge. He left by oh so casually announcing he would be the Special Guest Referee for the match. I thought this was a good segment. HBK is a far better talker than Triple H. Triple H didn't talk much. What's not to like? I liked HBK's tone and you could feel some heat between the two guys when he confronted Triple H about him accepting the challenge because he couldn't handle being perceived as worse than Shawn Michaels. It wasn't just reiterating what we already know and developed the match further. I liked it. Shocker, I know.
I'm going to avoid talking too much about the United States Title match between Jack Swagger and Santino Marella. Despite Ziggler's interference, Santino won the match. Santino is on TV more often than Swagger so I guess it's not too bad to have him holding the title. But are they really going to keep him as Long's personal assistant?! There was further development in this Laurinaitis/Long feud (Otunga & Laurinaitis came out shortly after the bell went, followed by Teddy, Kofi (why?) and Aksana, who is apparently his girlfriend now~), which was good, I guess. Aksana looked like she was giving a blowjob when she mimed the trumpet...
Rock gave his first history lesson of the night in a pre-taped segment. It was good. Well, it started out good. It was better than last week?
Kelly Kelly is at the announce table for the very short match between Eve and Alicia Fox. It's unfortunate it was so short because it could have been half decent. I guess Eve squashing Alicia makes her look stronger though I don't really know how the length of divas matches on Raw really does much in that sense... Zack comes out and drops in the "Broskis before hoeskis" line. Backstage, she goes after him and kisses him before leaving. Zack looks happy. I like this new Eve. She's way better than that boring babyface we were so accustomed to seeing.
We get a pre-taped segment of Cena. It was less dramatic and over-the-top than Rock's. I think I preferred it. He said he won't settle for second best. Y'know, I have to hand it to Cena... A few months ago, I didn't give a fuck about their match at Wrestlemania but Cena's promo have managed to get me more interested in it.
We got a good tag team match of Sheamus and CM Punk vs Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan. Maybe I'd have waited a week to book this match but it was good nonetheless. Jericho won; Punk pulled him into a small package but Jericho rolled it into a package of his own and won the match before taking hold of the title, looking at Punk. The match itself had some good moments though it was a bit of a mess when everyone got involved near the end. We didn't get all too much interaction between champion and number 1 contender, which was good.
Rock gave us another history lessons. This was better than the first one and definitely more entertaining and had some slightly more original material rather than the usual phrases he tends to repeat over and over again...
The Miz faces the Big Show. Cody Rhodes comes out and shows us a segment from Wrestlemania 18 of Big Show hanging out, "WRESTLEMANIA YEAH BABY WOO". I enjoy Cody's little segments and the way Big Show gets victimised makes you feel sorry for him and hate Cody for "bullying" him a bit. Show basically squashes Miz though. Who's Miz got heat with?
Rock gives us yet another history lessons. Let's just say the previous one was better.
R-Truth comes along with Little Jimmy by his side and takes on Kane. Kane wins the match fairly quickly. Post-match, Randy Orton, unfortunately, comes out and RKOs him. Looks like we're probably going to get a match and Wrestlemania between the pair.
John Cena came out and got a nice share of boos in Boston. I enjoyed this promo. Cena's growing on me again and I kinda like him these days. Rock came out and cut a small promo, which was better than last week's. After he leaves, telling Cena he's going to rip out his throat at Mania, Cena carries on talking. Man, I don't know. Rock's holding back on his material because he's a better promo cutter but at the same time, he keeps using the same material, which is why I prefer Cena's promos... Cena was entertaining though.
Raw was okay. I usually hate too much promo time but these were good, for the most. It was lacking in wrestling but it helped build up all the matches on the Wrestlemania card so far, which was good.

show's nearly sold out too kjhgfddfghjk
hopefully someone's selling or something nearer to the date ;___;
If anyone is selling tickets for Raw in Nottingham, drop me a message please. Thaaaaankss.
I'm just discussing this year's Draft on a forum and who we think will be drafted but there's complications for Raw and Smackdown either way.
D'you think it's about time Vince stepped down or not?
If so, who should replace him? And why? (By that, I mean, who would you like to see replace him as opposed to who will replace him.)
