THINGS THEY WON’T SHOW YOU ON THE NEWS Because media likes to pit people against each other, enraging people, make people look bad and make more money for themselves.
Because GOD FORBID, Muslims, Arabs and especially Palestinians be showed in positive light.
Also, can we bear in mind that many Jews are anti-Zionist and being Palestinian doesn't equate to being Muslim. Some Palestinians are Christian - not that it makes a difference either way but just worth pointing out that religion isn't actually the problem~
Hello Internet, My little cousin is doing a charity climb (Mt. Snowdon) on Saturday to raise money for Gaza and he needs sponsors. He raised a lot for Syria over the summer and he's hoping this will go just as well if not better. I realise it's a pretty short notice but if you can donate something, please message me. Thank yooouuu!
Remember Ismael Mohamed Bakr, 9, Ahed Atef Bakr, 10, Zakaria Ahed Bakr, 10 and Mohamed Ramez Bakr, 11 - all from the same family - whose crime was nothing more than be Palestinian.
It does not matter how young you are, if you are Palestinian, Israel will kill you. A day which started out playing football on the beach ended with these children in body bags.
Will any Israeli be held responsible for their murder? Of course not. You’ll hear how Israel was only ‘defending’ itself and some nonsense about how Hamas was ‘hiding’ in the football they were playing with.
Israel will make something up (or pretend they’ll ‘investigate’ the incident - no outsiders allowed in that process, though!) and world leaders like Obama will regurgitate it.
While we’re on the topic of Obama, remember how he made a statement about the three Israeli settlers? It was a sweet thing to do. As of July 16, 209 Palestinians have been killed by Israel in their latest assault on the civilians of Gaza, at least 39 of whom are children.
You’re more likely to see your great-grandchildren graduate or hell freeze over than hear a word from him on Palestinian children or criticising Israel’s war crimes.
One hundred thousand people marched against Israel’s ongoing terrorist attacks against the people of Gaza in London’s protest today. The Israeli military is targeting civilians of all ages in the besieged coastal enclave in an operation that has seen them kill around people so far, including over 70 children. How about giving true facts backed by news on both sides as apposed to just making Palestine out to be the little bullied kid out of this war. I think if you believe Palestine is in the right and being brutally attacked which is unright then that's fine and your belief, but don't be giving one sided information.
Do you not have a conscience? How do you sleep at night when you get paid by the Israeli government to spread genocidal lies like these? How much do they pay you? Do you not feel anything knowing that your lies assist in Israel’s massacre of innocent people?"True facts backed by news"? Yeah, this blog exists to spread facts. Every bit of new information has links. Try clicking them.
It’s not a war. It’s Israel blockading the Gaza Strip - to put them on a ‘diet’ among many other things - then pounding them with air strikes and now a ground invasion. Their audacity to pretend to be humane by telling people to evacuate - to where? They’ve closed all the fucking borders. Are they meant to walk out to sea and drown? We cover both sides. We’ve shown you how Israel is doing. We’ve shown you how farcical and over-hyped the ‘Hamas rockets’ lie is that Israelis are cheering on the bombardment of Gaza. Thoseeee khamassss rockeetttttttssssss are sooooo scary that Israelis are lazing around right outside Gaza to watch war crimes.
How’s the cell signal up on that hilltop?
Gaza, 17 July 2014 (by Saaed Rafiq Al Madhoun, CARE International Programme Officer)
My boy is only three years old. He feels stressed and depressed and last night after hearing the explosions he said to my wife, “I feel that I will die”.
He is only three-years old. It makes us so sad. It was such a terrible surprise to hear him say this, we feel very bad.
He says he is feeling sick, at the noise of the explosions. He is crying at night and cannot sleep, so my wife and I try to massage him to calm him down.
My wife is very afraid for the children. She is able to feed my five-month old baby but it is stressful.
We feel that there is no safe place – any movement outside and you could be targeted. If I go to my brother’s house, are we any safer there?
The water gets cut off when there is no electricity. I’m trying to keep reserves of water – we need to be able to sterilise things for the baby when we can.
I left the home to do some shopping during the ceasefire, to get some basics for my kids. We have just a short period of time before it starts again. It was very crowded in the streets because of the limited time. The prices were normal but there was not very much available.
I also went to check on the CARE office to see that it was OK. I want to go back to work to help support all of the vulnerable people. I am more than happy to do this but it is difficult because we cannot move without being targeted.
If this situation continues like now it will be a real crisis. We don’t know when it will finish. I am really hoping for a long-term ceasefire and that it will calm down.
It’s hard for my family, for my friends and colleagues, for all Gazans to live in this crisis. We just hope it will end soon. In six years there have been three wars.
It’s difficult for all of us, but especially the children.
I ask the world, and all of the humanitarian community, to try to make a ceasefire that will last for years not hours. We ask that the violence stops. We cannot continue living in this situation, but we also cannot leave Gaza.
We ask the world to make it stop and do their best for the people of Gaza. It is enough now.
Rob Dermer, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, asked people to use the hashtag (#askdermer) in Twitter Q&A on Thursday. It didn’t go well.
You forget who started sending all of the rockets that started this whole thing. You forget the kidnappings and murders of the innocent teens. There is a reckoning for such violence. Don't think that Palestinian terrorists can get away with their attacks on civilians and not ever have to pay a price. Blood for blood is the way you savages like to fight it out. So be it.
Unfortunately for you our blog has zero tolerance for bullshit.
According to you trouble was caused by khamas rockets and this is a common lie that somehow manages to never get old:
Next you mention the settlers who went missing and were found dead. If killing teens (or children) is an indication of who starts trouble.. Israel is the trouble maker:
Also, here are some statistics on Palestinian child detainees - who are often kidnapped - which you will never mention. There are thousands…
Please keep sending in your lies - replying to them is the best way to show people the truth.
It isn't our Presidents obligation to protect every citizen of the world.... To sacrafice a lot of our young people to defend countries that constantly bash the US and people fight each other. Obama has 1 true obligation. To protect the United States. Anything else that he does is helping because he WANTS to. And he sacrifices our hard earned tax dollars to become "protectors of the world". It's almost as if people just expect America to help out and if the US doesn't it is "so horrible".
Obama sends 8.5 million of your hard-earned dollars in military aid to Israel every day while there are Americans on the streets and others dying of hunger or because they’re not able to pay their medical bills. That’s $3.1 billion dollars to Israel per year.
How does your president make you feel knowing that he considers supporting Zionist war crimes more important than your well-being and the well-being of your fellow Americans?
What’s more important, supporting an army that targets and kills kids playing soccer on the beach, or feeding the hungry in America? How do you feel about Israelis cheering on the massacre of innocent people? This is what your tax dollars are supporting.
It’s funny, the best way for him to protect the innocent people of Palestine is actually to spend less of your hard-earned money. We want him to stop funding terrorism. That’s his moral obligation. Furthermore, 12 times more Palestinian children have been killed as compared to Israelis since 2000, yet he only shows outrage when there are Israeli casualties. It’s asking the bare minimum to some neutrality or even pretend.
I’ve never seen so many people speak SENSE in one sitting. Good on the UK parliament for calling out Israel for its war crimes and apartheid
NEW YORK — CNN has removed correspondent Diana Magnay from covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after she tweeted that Israelis who were cheering the bombing of Gaza, and who had allegedly threatened her, were “scum.”
“After being threatened and harassed before and during a liveshot, Diana reacted angrily on Twitter,” a CNN spokeswoman said in a statement to The Huffington Post.
“She deeply regrets the language used, which was aimed directly at those who had been targeting our crew,” the spokeswoman continued. “She certainly meant no offense to anyone beyond that group, and she and CNN apologize for any offense that may have been taken.”
The spokeswoman said Magnay has been assigned to Moscow.
Magnay appeared on CNN Thursday from a hill overlooking the Israel-Gaza border. While she reported, Israelis could be heard near her cheering as missiles were fired at Gaza.
After the liveshot, Magnay tweeted: “Israelis on hill above Sderot cheer as bombs land on #gaza; threaten to ‘destroy our car if I say a word wrong’. Scum.” The tweet was quickly removed, but not before it had been retweeted more than 200 times.
The removal of Magnay comes a day after NBC News pulled Ayman Mohyeldin from Gaza.
NBC’s decision to remove the widely praised Mohyeldin, and unwillingness to explain why, has been met with anger and frustration from journalists inside and outside the network.
A source with knowledge of the decision told The Huffington Post that NBC executives cited security concerns. But at the same time Moyheldin was pulled, NBC assigned chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel to Gaza.
One of Mohyeldin’s tweets and Facebook posts were recently deleted, a move that has fueled speculation that his social media use could have been the cause for his removal. But the source said the reason given internally by network executives was security.
So Israel is planning on extending the Apartheid Barrier to reach into the Jordan valley, LITERALLY trapping Palestine within the confines of the Israeli wall on every side. There will be NO way into Palestine without passing through the wall, and NO way out of Palestine without passing through the wall.
The Wall will serve to annex even more land, all within the Jordan Valley deep within the West Bank, which has been cut off from Palestinian access for some time now.
Those who continue to attempt to paint the wall as a means of ensuring “security” within Israel are living in a warped, delusional world, and this should make it glaringly clear that this was never about security, but always about squeezing the life out of Palestinians while Israel continues to steal more and more land.
How can anyone expect us to have peace with these animals? These scum who are literally trapping us into tiny, separated cages, while expanding the settlements between us like blood clots.
The inevitable heart attack is coming and hopefully this will be the one that brings this Israeli scum to its knees
Or at least destroys a few settlements in the process.
I should note that the wall would basically run along the blue land shown in the picture, on the East side. “Palestine”, as Israel envisions it, would be comprised of those tiny orange plots [which are smaller than in this map due to settlement expansions and the fact that Israel doesn’t actually allow control of 100% of the area]
Just
.
So you may or may not know I was at a protest just a while earlier. It was concerning the Palestine-Israel conflict taking place, in particular about the recent attacks in Gaza. Some of the stories were a real eye-opener and it was great to see people of different ages, religions and ethnicity united for one cause.
Thankfully, there were no outbreaks of violence - though two or three pro-Israel guys appeared towards the end. Very, very few people noticed them and/or heard what they said but the police quickly dragged them off before anything kicked off. For something put together so last-minute, the turn out of 200+ was great.
This was the first protest I'd been to and I'll definitely be at more!
Anyhow, if you're in/near Birmingham tomorrow, there's a protest happening. So: http://facebook.com/events/360545870705834?
My aunt used to sponsor a Palestinian guy. He's 16 years old now and she got this today among some other stuff and just aww
When someone notices your Viva Palestine hoodie and tells you they're pro-Israel when they don't even know the difference between Zionism and Judaism.
Lol okay then.
Go school up.
