Teen Wolf 3x06
What an awful episode.
It felt like more filler despite the very minor progressions in the plot, like the previous episode.
I probably wouldn't have hated this episode so much if it wasn't for the terrible scenes between Derek and the teacher, whose name I can't remember yet again. Yes, there's Derek, his stomach ripped open and blood oozing out. He can barely stand, let along walk and yet he's going to have sex. How about no.
There's Derek with all his trust issues and yet he seems way too accepting of this woman, who is a virtual stranger. And his wounds, somehow, magically heal. Can we not. This is something I'd expect out of a fanfiction, written by a fangirl, who fantasises about Derek and awkwardly masturbates over said fantasies.
I'm not even joking when I say I was so close to throwing up during their scenes. Everything felt so, so forced. I'm not a Sterek shipper. I don't ship Derek with anyone because let's face it, he's not ready for a relationship. But God, Sterek makes x9653456898 more sense than whatever this is!
It's awful. It needs to stop,
We got the odd glimpse of Isaac here and there but nowhere near enough for me to overlook the previously mentioned episode-ruining scenes. Boyd's appearances here and there felt kinda random. I'm also not entirely sure about the relevance of Scott walking in on Allison showering... His hallucination about his mom and Deucalion made sense but I don't get the shower scene other than showing him acting "weirdly".
There was something kinda cute about the scene between Ethan and Danny where they talk about his scars. When asked if he could get rid of them, Danny says he wouldn't because they make him feel like a survivor and Ethan responds with "I really hope you are". I'm feeling a little bit of foreshadowing there but that aside... I felt like it said a lot about Danny's character and I also felt it was an interesting contrast to Jackson's character.
Finally, the scene with suicidal Scott was pretty decent. There's something about him and Stiles having a moment and Stiles ultimately being the one to bring Scott to his senses rather than us having to endure a super cliche Scott/Allison scene.
Yeah, this episode sucked. As bad as episode 1 though? I'm not sure.
