I don't even know what to say about this week's TVD, which is the pilot for The Originals too, yes?
Um... Wow.
I cringed so much.
It was Klaus-centric of course, which is great. It was primarily in New Orleans. We met new characters. Elijah was being awesome.
And Hayley is having Klaus's baby.
What is this, Twilight?! This felt like some shitty, cliche fanfiction gone canon. There's WTF-ing to the point where an episode is ruined... Then there's WTF-ing to the point where an entire series looks awful and makes you think you should reconsider your life choices.
The only thing that interests me now is the development of Klaus's character. It'll allow for new dimensions to be explored, which should be interesting to see but God... What even...
Also, that little phonecall to Caroline felt so lazy. It was like it was just there to address Klaroline for a few seconds and then that's it, done. Kalijah have also pretty much died... For now... Is your goal to kill all my otps, TVD? And if Klaus gets it on with Camille or whatever... I don't even. Is he just into blondes these days or. I don't even understand why he bothered giving her the time of day. It just looked so random.
On a slightly different note, I really hated how the Elena/Stefan/Damon scenes were tacked onto the opening and ending... It felt really, really lazy and unnecessary.
I also expected a stronger reaction out of Rebekah because, y'know, Niklaus, who she appears to despise for being an obstacle between what she wanted is kinda getting those very things she wanted...
welp.
I don't know.
