Time travel jutsu seemed no more than a myth. However, some pursued the hope of truth to it.

It could be a powerful weapon, if it were possible. One that could prevent battles, or entire wars. Tests conducted in dark corners of secret factions yielded so many failures that even the greediest shinobi gave up the idea of defeating their enemies before they could pose a threat.

But deep in the archives of the Hidden Leaf was a piece of paper proving the present could collide with the past. Perhaps it was overlooked because no one considered that the jutsu could be used to send two people to a place and time where they would be unrecognizable and therefore, at peace.

Eventually, someone opened the envelope that was stashed within a box that was long forgotten inside a drawer. The scars were a perfect match and the pair summoned and questioned.

The only response was their smiles.
