Goalies

No one knows about her, she just…showed up one day. We call her The Soldier, but heard a couple of folks call her Tex before too. If you thought Number One was good, well…Tex….she’s something else. Jack of all trades, master of everything. There’s nothing she can’t do. Mostly she’s there for insurance and clean up. She’s ruthless, deadly, efficient…but at her core, she has a good heart. Don’t  say that to her face though unless you don’t want yours anymore.

She goes by C.T. She doesn’t look like much, I know, but she’ll put a knife through your skull without a second thought if she thinks you’re worth her effort. She has countless hidden weapons on her person, you’d be surprised. She’s the one that taught that Wash fellow all his pretty knife tricks. You can find her around The Staff of Charon mostly. And Carolina, or Number One as she is sometimes referred to and you’ll see why. She’s the top dog around here. I know I’ve recommended a lot of great fellows, but her…No one messes with her. I know, I know, folks say that about people, “Don’t mess with them, they’ll kill ya!” but with Carolina it’s not an idle statement, it’s a promise. 

Breaking in? Well you can try New York. Don’t let his blind eye fool you now, he can still kill you 10 miles away. He’s always hanging around Errera. Now if you need an exit plan because sometimes New York can…trip up, you need to look for a man they call Washington. He’ll get you squared away. He’ll let you think he’s a pushover, but he ain’t. Just push him enough and you’ll see. He’d do anything to protect his own.

Oh yes, The Meta. He doesn’t say much either, but he doesn’t need to. His work speaks for itself. If you want a job done and done right, you go to him. Don’t ask about why he wears that collar. There’s a bit of an urban legend saying that it keeps the demon that runs his body tight inside. Why are you smiling like that? Well, why don’t you try taking it off and find out yourself if you think it’s so funny.

The Dakota Twins? Oh. Oh yes I know them. Who doesn’t? One of the deadliest guns for hire, those two. It’s almost eerie how in sync they are. Where can you find them? Oh, you don’t find them, they find you.

The Informant knows everything. Well, next to CT that is. He’s also sometimes called The Captain. Unlike CT though, he gets his information in a more…straight forward fashion. There’s a reason why he and that Tex girl are always there for clean up jobs. Don’t let his cheery smiles and can do attitude fool you now. Behind that smile is poison. That’s Wyoming. Or The Hunter. Now, if you want to find someone you thought just disappeared in to thin air, you get Wyoming on the case. There is no one he can’t find. Funny, ain’t it? One makes you disappear and the other puts a target sign on your back so all your enemies know where you’re at. 

You don’t have a get away plan? Well, I got that covered for you too. Look for a lady called 479. She doesn’t give away her real name easily, no one seems to, huh? But if you need a good god damn driver, you get 479er. No one knows those machines better than she does. No one. They way she handles her vehicles, it’s like she’s surfing through the stars. 

Those two? Don’t know much about them I’m afraid. I think they’re rivals with a bad history. What rivals don’t have bad blood between them though? Felix, the one in orange, he’ll get any job done, never comes back clean. He’s a nice guy though, as nice as a merc can be that is. It’s the green fellow you wanna look out for. Don’t know his name, but heard someone call him Locus once, after his armor. He doesn’t say much, but you’ll know when he does speak up. Oh, you’ll know…

Vanessa Kimball came to the city with her four lieutenants. The reason unknown, but the Reds and Blues suspect it has something to do with the Mercenaries they previously ran in to. She points them out to a large warehouse that the Informant had mentioned to them staying, “A lot of weird characters go in and out of there, but I bet a lot of your questions can be answered if you ask. The people there helped me and the guys out when our car broke down and I overheard something like your situation being talked about. Good luck boys.”

Emily Grey and Frank DuFresne (often referred to as “Doc”) are specialty doctors. They’re often seen cnoming and going from the For Hire’s base, though Emily never seems to have a drop of blood on her pristine white clothing. Both have gained the trust of the For Hires. They’ve helped them with a curious situation in the past and that experience may be needed once again when Florida brings them interesting news of the people he has just met at Errera.

Kaikaina Grif. The front for Errera. She doesn’t owb the club, but she’s there enough that people think she does and that’s fine with the actual owner. She’s not a For Hire or anything, just your average girl who loves to have a good time. Don’t let her sweet demeanor fool you though. A guy once tried to get handsy with her after she firmly said no and she punched him so hard his visor shattered. Her hand was bruised up, but otherwise ok. He wasn’t though. She knows everything about anybody that steps foot in to Errera and if she doesn’t she makes sure she does. When the Reds and Blues first come to the city, Grif is shocked to find his sister there at Errera. When explaining why he’s there and that they need help finding their friend, Kaikaina points them in the direction to the man in blue, otherwise known as The Informant…

Sarge, in charge of “Red Team”, built Lopez out of the spare parts they found around the slums. Whether or not Lopez’s arms are made out of welded soup cans or scrap metal from a car is his business. They also dressed the robot out of spare clothes found laying around, hence his simple attire. “Soy un robot ¿Qué me importa por lucir bien?”. Sarge has declared “war” against the Blues who live across the street from them. When members of the Blue team come knocking on their door one day asking for help on finding a friend of theirs that has gone missing, Sarge commands Red team to help. “No one messes with the Blues! Except me!" 

When their self proclaimed leader goes missing, the remaining Blue Team goes to Red Team’s base asking for their help. Agreeing, both Red and Blue team head towards The City to find Blue Team’s missing friend in hopes of finding some sort of clue of where he could be…

Simmons, Donut, and Grif begrudgingly agree to accompany their ‘leader’ Sarge to help the Blues find their missing friend. Though they mostly are reluctant, they find strength as a team to help their friends when they find there’s more than meets the eye about the disappearance. The agreed assessment of the situation by Grif seems to be, “This is fucking bullshit.”
