Making the art I want to see

Hmm, I’d suggest making little master-studies of your inspirations, it can help a lot in discovering ways to improve your own work but always be sure to study different sources as you’ll learn the most that way. If you want to learn how to draw different animated characters on model (as in just the way they look in their movie) I’d suggest copying screenshots and modelsheets then draw them in your own poses and angles. This site is a great resources for that sort of thing. However if you wish to find your own style, I think the best way is to not look for it at all as it’ll find you when you lean into you honest self and your interests!

You also asked about the bodies so I’ll include this rough little breakdown I made a while back of how I construct my webcomic character’s bodies if it helps at all. The CATS art and all my characters are constructed the same way mostly;

I think as long as they cast actors who’ve done the musical before I’d be happy! No casting popstars for my Cats movie, I want musical singers who may have never been in movies before and these people have lived these roles for days and nights sometimes for months or even years, no one knows the characters better than the musical performers. If I can get my hands on Elaine Page though, I want her for the Grizabella. In my oppinion she made that character and it’s one of the most iconic performances ever. The role is hers if she’ll have it.
