If you’re expecting some long review about how everything is wonderful you’re not going to get it. Game of Thrones has officially had one of the worst finales I’ve seen (and I watched The Originals). I can’t believe I invested 10 years in this and this is the ending we get. It’s a badly-written nonsensical terror. I’ve read terrible fan fiction that is better than this finale.
The Daenerys Issue
No offense to Emilia Clarke but her character is the worst thing to come out of this show. Sure, she pulled off incredible performances this season, but it was because they focused it all on her. No one else gets a POV or anything that isn’t dedicated to Dany.
Despite what her loud fans say, the white savior was always going to go dark. The foreshadowing is there in both the books and the show. Is the execution terrible? Yes, but that’s because they wanted to shock the audience.
The biggest crime to her name is that they destroyed Jon Snow to do it.
