One thing I love about working with the earth and gardening is that it puts so much of the seasonal cycles and sabbats in context. You also notice the seasonal changes more, even the zodiac seasonal shifts (because the zodiac “seasons” actually don’t have to do with the constellations it’s the “movement” of the sun in the sky throughout the year. That’s why cardinal signs are the beginning of the season, ‘fixed’ is the middle and mutable is the end when the seasons are transitioning), since the light and energy changes around them and how it influences your own energy.
Anyway it’s this time of year I am reminded of the energy of the sun because it’s returning and daylight is longer than 5 hours now lol. Also Aquarius season is that jolt of electricity/waking up energy after the long slow molasses hibernation period of Capricorn season. Plus and more importantly it feels like imbolctide!! We are planning the seeds we want to sow in the garden center and this makes me soo pleased as our seed planning day is coinciding with my personal intention setting day where I am planning spells and crafting candles for imbolc (and my witchy friends- hopefully I can send them the candles in time). I also love celebrating the sabbats for the reasons that it feels so grounding because for example when it’s like christmas time everyone decorates their space, but with the sabbats it’s like nature’s decoration with seasonal flowers and changes. I am starting to notice some early buds and snow drops and it’s making me excited.
I will post some Imbolc stuff starting now. I think this year I should stop being lazy with reblogging my posts and make new updated ones but lets see how that goes lol.
