of Clouds and Stars

@ofcloudsandstars / ofcloudsandstars.tumblr.com

Welcome everyone of the magical, the undefined, the chaotic and ethereal kind. This is a blog for my witch path and personal magical ramblings. I'm 28, a bioregional animist witch who is a bit nomadic but currently residing in London (air element, Libra). Originally from Montclair NJ and NYC. My preferred climate is four seasonal temperate deciduous. Coping with this gray oceanic highland climate in the UK that's like bi-seasonal. Femme-aligned agender, she/they, mixed black, pansexual, I follow the seasonal witch holidays but "secularly". I think my witch strengths are astrology (which most people follow me for) and spamming aesthetics/ideas for the sabbats.

Scenes from my solitary Mabon

Went to the market and got tons of food and squash

Made some ritual candles that smell amazing like apple squash and autumn spice out of apples and a carnival squash (and tealight spell candles with cinnamon)

Did some divination to find clarity of balance and what I needed to let go

Did a dream type guide to journey inside and find out what it meant. (I had a very beautiful dream sequence but that’s for another post)

Wrote down on some collected leaves what I was letting go but also said alloud the positives when I tossed them in the earth to decompose like: I make the right decisions; cause like changing reality is about focusing on positive phrases (I was going to go to a special tree but it was POURING but a Hawthorne tree took me in)

I also buried an acorn for luck, a conker nut for strength and a crab apple for joy and another conker nut as thanks and gratitude for the land and guide in my dreams.

My favorite neighbor came to say hi on my way home. He gave me love and cuddles.

I baked an apple toffee tart (I wanted butterscotch but toffee is similar) with my favorite apples and put a bit of cinnamon in the pie crust and I ate it with a caramel mousse. I made cheesy squash mash, pork glazed in maple syrup roasted with carrots apples and brusselsprouts in wine butter and maple. I had cider and an autumny caramel roobois tea. I smoked and watched over the garden wall.

I did a final ritual before eating and lit all the candles with my affirmations. My room smelled like I was living inside an autumn candle and I was pleased lol.

Anyway that’s my Mabon 🍁🍂🧡

✧ .🍂Mabon Solitary Rituals🍂*✧

The Autumn equinox is near! As it's the equinox the day will be equal parts light and dark (perfect for the beginning of Libra season,) and as it's autumn in the northern hemisphere there will be leaves that are beginning to change and squirrels scurrying about. Autumn is such an important season of mine, it begins Libra season (I am a libra) and also according to the French Revolutionary Calendar, the season of wine. Libra season is one of fun, balance and harmony and that combined with autumn and the celebration of wine makes this the start to my favorite part of the year.

Autumn Equinox is not only the time to be grateful for all that you've earned during your hard work of the summer, and be grateful in general for the good that has occurred to you this year, but it's also a time of letting go. As we inch closer to Samhain, the time of death and transformation that leads to the new year, we should take time to reflect and see what needs to be shedded like falling leaves. The keyword to my rituals are Reflection. Reflect on what makes you grateful and reflect on what needs to be let go. I do have a personal correspondences post that might help explain why I also chose certain things listed below! (Also here is my personal tag.)

A lot of us witches practice alone and have our own solitary rituals for each sabbat that we observe (or the ones we’ve created just for ourselves that we observe alone!) Like any solitary eclectic witch I do things my own different way but some of these things might line up with others practices. I do refer to some of the equinoxes/solstices/crossquarters by their celtic sabbat names but I celebrate them in a secular animist way and treat the wheel of the year I celebrate as more of an argrarian cycle and celebrating nature. I use sabbat names as a point of reference and also people that do celebrate these witches sabbats more traditionally might find value in my personal practice!

When I am alone and casting spells a lot of it is visualization/intent so my solitary rituals are more like activities I like to do then specifically casting a spell. If I am doing a spell with an activity based on it a lot would be listening to music to get in the mood and focusing on a candle while visualizing for a period of time! Eves are also important to my celebration as I like to stay up until midnight and cast a spell then!

Mabon Eve

Thursday September 21st 2017

  • Autumn Tea lights! First we all know autumn scented candles are the best, but for the autumn equinox festivities, making special autumn tealights is a must! Make Apple tealights, acorn tealights  or squash tea lights (x) and decorate your altar with them or save them for the feast table tomorrow. Bonus: use scented autumn wax or natural beeswax and maybe top it with cinnamon or nutmeg!
  • Acorn charms for good luck! I would make these annually for my friends. Acorns represent prosperity and everytime the bell jingles its to hope it will bring you more prosperity for the rest of the remaining year!
  • Swap wardrobe clothing for your autumn clothes and put a sack of nice smelling herbs like cinnamon sticks in the corner of your warddrobe to make them smell nice.
  • If you enjoy wearing makeup take out all of your autumn shades of lipstick and eye make up and charge them with your tools of glamour like rose quartz, carnelian and good energy.
  • Dry fruits and herbs in an oven or dehydrator! Annually I love to make apple chips this time of year.
  • Enjoy snacks while doing crafts! Eat caramels, dried apple chips, nuts (like peanuts if you are not allergic. I like nuts to honor the squirrel and acorn season), maple sugar candies, sugar candied nuts, sweet corn bread, butterscotch candies. Also if you don't like nuts/can't eat them but want something acorn-like, make these donut acorns! Bonus if they are cinnamon sugar! (Or you can coat them in maple sugar glaze!)
  • If you love knitting this is a great time to begin a knitting project! Use knot magic to bind intent into your scarf to keep you warm in the cold seasons!
  • Celebrate the eve of Autumn with great fall beers and apple sausages at a local beer hall.
  • Preparing dishes Since tomorrow is a great autumn feast day, the evening would be fantastic to just cook autumn magic into the food of tomorrow.  That also being said, Make Caramel Apples! I associate caramel apples with this holiday and candied coated apples with Halloween. Make a nice maple sugar caramel and top with sprinkles, cookie crumbles or enjoy on it’s own!
  • Decorate your Altar! Wipe your altar down with oils like cinnamon and cedar. Cover it in chrysanthemums, beautiful fallen leaves, carnival squash, mini pumpkins, and anything fall colored. Burn cinnamon and apple incense!
  • Go Star Gazing This time of the year is the best for star gazing. It probably has to do with the temperature at night being pleasantly cool and there being far less bugs. Spend a night under the stars especially since it will be the last night possible to do so before the weather cools!
  • Midnight Spell: Focus on what you would like to shed away from your life. This is a time that's great for letting go of what is no longer working for you in the previous year. As an activity I do like to collect dead and colorful leaves that have fallen and write in gold pen the things I want gone from my life. Over a flame I burn it to a crisp. If you can't have fire, this is equally as great if you can toss it out of a high window to let it 'fall away' (I'd suggest not writing anything on it though, just put the energy into it), or crushing it into powder and letting it blow away in the fall winds. Another spell I like to do is road opening. If you feel blocked and don't know what to shed away, this helps instead. I always like lighting a candle for road opening spells as it's similar to lighting a lantern on a path shrouded with darkness, but this can be understood as a leaf blower spell. Take a pile of leaves as clean as you can find them. (at least 10-20 is good enough). Take your favorite stack of tarot cards and shuffle them thinking about the obstacle that you can not overcome. Once you are done, the top card is what you must do. (Or any that jump out randomly). Take that advice card and put it under the pile of leaves. Envision the leaves as the many things that are cluttering your path. When you are ready, take a mighty blow and blow them away off the card! Acorn Spell I like to pick an acorn I am drawn to and think about the things I want to prosper. I use them as wealth spells. As I charge my things and do magic for the ritual, I also charge my acorns with positive intent. That night or the next morning I go to a nearby park (usually the same where I got the acorn) and bury it into the earth. As the acorn is a seed that will grow, so will what you wish to prosper in your life.

Mabon Day

Friday, September 22nd 2017

  • When you pick your clothes for this day, Either wear the most fall-tastic witchy outfit or wear the dark veil witchy outfit. Fall is officially the Season of the Witch sorry I don't make the rules. (I mean 365 days of the year is the season of the witch to me but like, fall is goth witch time). It's time for burgundy, brown and black lipsticks, heavy eyeshadow, black veils, velvets, boots, flocks of crows following you around as you shop for mini pumpkins. Little kids watching you in awe and believing in magic as you and your Raven companion go pick up Halloween candy.
  • Go Apple Picking! If you have the great privilege and opportunity to, this would be the most blessed day for apple picking. Being in the country side and picking apples is the most ideal way to spend Mabon Day. Make a tart with those apples for the feast or save them to make autumn apple cider for Samhain!
  • Take a Bike Ride or a Fall Hike! Autumn is an airy season for me and the winds are playful, give life to dead leaves and howl wildly in the night. I love to spend autumn biking and feeling one with the streams of air. Go on a ride and collect the beautiful leaves you see! If you don’t have a bike, taking a hike would be just as rewarding especially in a trail in the mountains!
  • Drink spiced autumn drinks and be grateful for the past year and the season to come! Enjoy a nice hot apple cider, spiced autumn mulled wine, a spiced chai tea or even a pumpkin spiced Latte (YEAH I SAID IT) don’t let anyone take your autumn festiveness away from you!
  • Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables! APPLES! Plums! Grapes! Squash! Yams! Offer some back to nature to show gratitude!
  • Plant bulbs in the garden for next spring! You should try to harvest what you can from your garden and pickle your produce and dry your herbs but if you want some things to pop up in the spring, now is the time to plan before your garden goes to rest!
  • Make Apple bird feeders!
  • If you have the opportunity to, tour a winery or a beer garden! Not all of us might have the time to go on a hike or apple picking, yet it is wine and autumn beer season so a nice outing to a brewery will be equally as festive!
  • Charge yourself in the cool autumn winds! Whistle with the whispering winds, release intentions into them. Find a cool and clean place where you won’t be disturbed to center yourself and allow their energy to flow around you. Feel free as the birds flying south.

Evening

  • Celebratory Dinner The feast is the most important part. This holiday is often compared to Thanksgiving because its an autumn feast that has a focus on gratitude yet this is gratitude for what the earth has given for the harvest and your hard work (and not stealing land from other people) and if you are lucky enough to celebrate it with those that share your practice, you should go around the table to say the things that you are blessed for this year passed and toast each one to hot spiced cider. Let the loving warmth engulf you as you drink it and reflect on the good that has become of you this year. One year I made a fantasy feast for each sabbat and this is a recipe post for Mabon.
  • Make sure to remember to make a plate for any entities you like to work with. Leave something nice for your ancestors, or the spirits of nature outside. Anything you have left over like organic waste, apple peels, squash string, put it in compost to give back to the earth when the time comes.
  • For your friends and loved ones that you are grateful for in life, make sure to leave them a little message by text, phone call or social media to let them know how much you appreciate them.

Witches of Fall

Some carefree witches enjoying the season! Each has a story, each represents a part of early-middle fall, (I might do later fall and halloween) and when they come together for their circle’s potluck it’s the best food that revives your life. They smoke tea under the autumn moonlight and exchange secrets under the changed leaves.

I just felt like being creative and putting together aesthetics of some witches that look more like me. Let me know if you want me to post them individually

Mabon {Fantasy} Feast

Continuing the tradition of making fantasy feasts that one day I will get to enjoy for real! Some of these recipes I am definitely making for tomorrow! (Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadth, Mabon, Samhain, Yule).

This is the Autumn Equinox and a time of togetherness and reflection. Naturally the food will be fall themed, but I love to reserve fall flavors like maple and apple for the beginning of autumn (samhain gets more pumpkin spice and sweet potatoes). You can look at my post of personal correspondences for more info or follow my Mabon tag!

I would add maple to the glaze and make it with dumpling squash filling with nuts

Mabon/Autumn Equinox Personal Correspondences

Oh my goodness it’s my favorite time of the year approaching! Leaves are beginning to change and gold and fiery reds are beginning to seep into it’s green colors. Acorns sprinkle the ground as squirrels do their feverish dance across the lawns. So many delicious fruits and vegetables are in season! The air is cooling and bringing a breeze that is gently pushing summer away. This is the beginning of the end of the year as we enter the final season and the last quarter. It is a time of reflection of the past year, things to banish and improve on and to show gratitude and count our blessings. Especially in honor of the harvest and the togetherness that the holiday season brings, gratitude is an important aspect of this sabbat. A fantastic way to celebrate this sabbat is by hosting a pot luck for your circle and enjoying the equinox with a wonderful fall feast!

Mabon - Autumn Equinox

September 22nd (2020)

Colors:

  • Orange and Amber  For fall, I don’t need to say more haha.
  • Chartreuse and Mustard yellow I put these two together because this celebration also falls on a transition where most leaves are a lighter greenish yellow and I noticed in nature many things have the hues of a deeper mustard yellow or a yellowy pea green color. Also a lot of squash have these hues too.
  • Brown undertones for fall and the soon to be bare trees
  • Burgundy/Wine It’s the season of the wine harvest and also the colors of plum and other ripe fruits. (Thanks to hands-heart-hearth for the helpful addition!)

Crystals:

  • Jasper
  • Tiger’s Eye
  • Smokey Quartz
  • Honey Calcite

Herbs and Plants:

  • Squash carnival, fairytale pumpkin, acorn there’s many but those are the top 3
  • Leaves
  • Acorns
  • Conkers
  • Chrysanthemums
  • Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Figs
  • Plums
  • Grapes
  • Mushrooms  Especially Turkeytail, Chicken of the Woods, Beefsteak etc.

Animals:

  • Squirrels
  • Red Fox
  • Sleepy Brown Bears

Decorations:

  • Squash
  • Chrysanthemum pots
  • Cornucopia
  • Leaf Garland
  • Apple Candles

Instruments/Music:

  • Wooden flutes that are slower and somber like the oncoming cooler breeze.
  • Mostly the Bassoon.
  • sometimes the clarinet
  • Also the Cello!
  • Here is a playlist I made (play the white noise soundtracks under the music)

Fragrances/Incense:

  • Apple (especially pie and baking)
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutty earthy fragrances like peanut
  • Potpourri
  • Musk
  • Amber

Food:

  • There is a lot in season. For vegetables, the biggest one that takes the attention for me is squash. There are many beautiful squash that are great for decoration and to eat. My favorite is the acorn squash, especially because of already the symbolism of the acorns everywhere on this equinox but also the nutty flavor of the squash and it’s green to orange colors. It is both highly decorative with perfect flavor and presence. Corn is also appropriate for this holiday and can be honored with a warm cornbread and carrots add great color and flavor to a lot of dishes.
  • For fruits there are apples, plums and grapes. Grapes and plums can be honored in wine and for apples there is cider. Apples of course also make fantastic pies and sweets.
  • I see this holiday as a fantastic alternative to Thanksgiving (since it’s a fall feast and gratitude is involved) and especially since a lot of things are in season many similar dishes can be served like corn bread, apple sauce, roasted squash and stuffing.
  • If there is meat being served I like to make candied bacon with brown sugar and maple syrup or bbq chicken with a bbq sauce lightly spiked with smoky bourbon with a hint of maple syrup.
  • Spices like allspice, cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, cloves and ginger find it’s way into my cooking in both sweet and savory.
  • In the realm of sweets and treats there is a lot to work with. For dessert, especially because it’s pie season, one must make a pie or tart. Annually I make a caramelized apple tart with sparkling brown sugar on top. Apple cider donuts also make for a great dessert option. For treats there are the options of caramel popcorn, caramel apples, caramel itself, maple sugar fudge, maple butter cookies, butterscotch, dried apple chips, apple flavored candy. I also like flavors such as earthier nuts like peanuts and walnuts, but especially peanut butter with treats. It can be dangerous if someone has allergies so I usually omit it, but I like the nutty earthy flavor because it reminds me of acorns and burrowing seeds. Caramel apples is the prime treat for this holiday and can be decorated in a number of ways with either fall leaf sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, chopped nuts, icing designs or candy toppings.
  • For drinks there are many options, but one I tend to go to the most is spiked warm apple cider. I warm it with cinnamon and spike it with Haitian rum I infuse with caramel. I see this as the height of brewing season where a lot of ciders and wines are beginning to get brewed especially since many fruits are in season. You can bring wine to the feast or even enjoy it with seasonal beers. I also see the colder part of the year as whiskey season and if you wish to honor the corn aspect of the harvest, bourbon is always a good smoky spirit to keep around.

My squash cakes icing is drying! I made them with sweetened and spiced acorn squash puree instead of milk or water and they are a good combination of savory sweet and nutty. The cake itself isn't too sweet but the icing makes up for it and helps balance it out. The brown is a buttery white chocolate cinnamon ganache, the green is cinnamon nutmeg, the Orange is maple and the yellow is vanilla anise.

Just a few of the fall leaves I collected on yesterday's bike ride!! Some parts of the trees have already begun to change. I was really aiming for leaves that were still partially green but these are pretty too. Going to be used in banishing magic on the equinox!

🎃🍁🍂✨AUTUMN WITCHY THINGS TO DO!✨🍂🍁🌰

This is my most favorite season. I am feeling giddy as I type this. There's so much to enjoy during this time of year!

Collecting

🌰 this is the season for acorns! As you might have noticed the ground around some oak trees are already sprinkled with them. You can collect acorns for runes or make acorn bell charms or make floating tea lights with the caps. I love collecting acorns for spells, especially wealth spells. I hold one and bless it, then visualize my spell as if it is already happening, then kiss or blow a kiss at it to seal it (it's been on the ground so sometimes it safer to blow a kiss to it lol) then tuck it in the earth.

🍁 Collecting leaves! Fall leaves are great for banishing spells especially since they are something that was shed away. You can write on them what things you want to come to an end and burn or bury them. You can also use them to make leaf lanterns or decorate fairy lights with.

🍎 It's also Apple season! You can go apple picking and use their deliciousness in cooking or dry them in an oven or fruit dehydrator for snacks or teas! Making apple tea is perfect for autumn and also makes a nice gift. Apples are also highly used in spells often for gratitude, offerings or fertility. You can leave out sliced apples as an offering to spirits if you work with them or bury them for spells. If you celebrate the equinox they can make great tea lights and decorations.

🍂 This is also a great time to start preserving. Start to pickle things for winter when a lot less stuff grows. Make extracts from fresh herbs. Gather a clean jar, hard white liquor like vodka and cheese cloth for straining and top your harvested fruit or herbs with vodka and let it sit for a week or two. Shake it daily if you want. You can even keep the ingredients in there for all of winter if you wish. I know you can buy most extracts of anything but I always find it far more powerful when I craft my own. Also infused liquor with fruits and sugar can make fantastic Christmas gifts!

Cooking

🍳 This is definitely the season for kitchen witches! So much is in season and there are so many gatherings that will happen! Perfect your pie making skills and eat the gifts of the harvest. A lot of spices makes its way into my food in this season to combat colds and also for hotter spices to warm the body up. One spice I associate with warmth as it has actual warming qualities is cinnamon and we know this is cinnamon season. Use it in teas, cooking, baking; you can put the oil in lotions and body creams but be careful to not put it on any sensitive areas or it will BURN. For a more savory version you can cook with black pepper. Black pepper paired with allspice makes a good autumn savory combo. I also love adding maple syrup to some dishes but very discreet amounts. For autumn equinox gatherings I bake BBQ chicken with a BBQ sauce that tastes smokey from a bit of bourbon I sneak in that goes well with its spiciness and the maple syrup goes well with the sweetness of the sauce. Maple syrup in savory-sweet dishes might sound weird at first but if you pair it right with sauces like Japanese eel sauce (and make baked glazed eggplants with that) or BBQ sauce, it will come out great. The trick is to add very little by little and taste as you go.

🍭 Also as Halloween is coming up its the time for candy! There's so many cool ways to make your own treats from Halloween bark, to fudge (2), to caramel, pretzels, gummies and it will be even more magical if you make it for your friends! (Better to make these for private parties cause it can get suspicious handing it out to trick or treaters). It's also the season for candy coated apples. For the fall equinox each year I make caramel coated apples. I feel like candy coated is better suited for Halloween cause it's glazed and more dramatic appearing. Making a chocolate covered apple can be a great substitute for candy since many people complain that candy covering is hard to bite through. Also chocolate is easy to color and flavor. I love to decorate with colorful fall sprinkles and crushed nuts (if no one is allergic of course) like peanuts and almonds if it's a caramel apple.

🍺 Along with preserving, this is also brewing season!! Making cider might be a challenge for some but it's incredibly rewarding if you go through with it. Look at your local breweries for equipment and advice. If you're uninterested in doing all the work, supporting their fall brews is just as good! Plus breweries produce some DELICIOUS stuff during the fall. My friends and I have a favorite craft beer store we especially harass during fall. You can also make liquors and liqueurs from harvested fruits. You can either put chopped up fruits and berries with a stick of cinnamon or spices in a jar and top with dark rum, whiskey or vodka depending on how you want to influence the flavor and make an infusion. If you want something sweeter (and quicker to make), get a pan to make simple syrup (1/2cup water to 1cup sugar) and instead of water replace with something like apple cider and as it simmers add cinnamon. You can add the apple spiced syrup to a clean bottle and top with dark rum. The next morning shake it and you will have an apple spice liqueur! I like to make simple syrup with things in season this time of year such as juiced apples or crushed harvested berries and make a berry liqueur with it. It's delicious and can make wonderful hot toddy drinks that taste like pie!!

☕️ Its also spiced tea season! Brewing spiced teas to help cold, plus I was told my spiced teas taste like seasonal candles lol. I love making an orange spice tea and an apple tea with dried apple slices. The orange spice is simple. In a pot of simmering water combine orange slices or peeks, cinnamon sticks and star anise and let simmer for a while. You can add brown sugar to the pot of sweeten it in your cup after. For the apple tea I like to put roobois in a pot and let steep or simmer with apple slices and cinnamon. Another popular tea I drink especially the closer to winter we get is ginger spice. In a simmering pot add slices of ginger, cloves and honey. My dad spikes this with Haitian rum if we feel under the weather. It helps sweat out the cold.

🍂  Crockpot recipes!! Get familiar with the modern cauldron lol!! There's this wonderful post for crockpot recipes for the colder seasons. Stew season is upon us and there's nothing better than coming home on a cold autumn evening to a rich stew of squash and pumpkins and oxtail.

Spirit Activity

👻 if you want you could contact spirits easily since spirit activity will heighten. Maybe talk to ancestors since they could be less scary if you want a place to start. If you do NOT want or like spirit activity this would be a great time to set up wards!

🍁 Fall is also a time of gratitude and reflection. As you go harvesting make sure to leave offerings or give thanks to the trees and plants you harvest from! Even a moment of sending a boost of positive thoughts their way can work. Apparently plants can read and communicate through vibrations and are very sensitive so you saying thanks or sending love and gratefulness can make some plants happy lol.

Enchanting

🍂 While you change your wardrobe from warm weather to cold weather bless your sweaters and socks to keep you warm. If you have more time and need a boost put your stored away sweaters in the dryer for a few minutes with a very sealed cloth sack of herbs like cinnamon sticks (not powder) or anything you associate with warmth and comfort before exchanging them with your summer clothes in the drawers.

💄 Also the witchiest season is upon us and if you are into make up and glamours you know this means darker richer lipsticks and richer colors. Enchant your dark lipsticks and make up to make you feel witchier and more powerful! It's the one time of the year you can wear dark burgundy, chocolate Browns and blacks and no one will ask you about it. (Unless if you're an all year round goth 👍🏽)

🎃 Pumpkin season is here! A wonderful charm for your home is this pumpkin incense lantern. It's beautifully festive and will make your space smell like pie!

🎃 Also for pumpkin carving you can use magic to make them into wards. Jack-o-lanterns were created to ward away bad spirits. You can take the ancient tradition and make your Jack-o-lanterns ward away negativity, unwanted visitors and unwanted spirits. Some people like black candles for protection so filling them with black tea lights might look extra halloweeny and help with your ward!

🌑 Also charcoal is good for absorbing negative energy. If these holiday family seasons make you uncomfortable you can make sigils of protection inside of your Jack o lantern or carved incense pumpkin to help with negative tension in the household once family is over or use charcoal and sea salt to make black salt and hide it somewhere in the living room where people congregate or make it into a pretty centerpiece like a candle votive. You can add black glitter or stick in fake plants to make it look like some interesting modern art furniture piece when really it's black salt to help your uncles, aunts and extended cousins to simmer the fuck down.

 Reflection

🍂  Along with gratitude fall is a time of reflection. Reflect on past issues you faced in the year and how to improve them. Reflect on your craft and how you can improve it and what's not working. Whatever is not good not working in your life right now it's a good time for banishing magic. Once again you can use fall leaves because those leaves are something that's been shed and you can imagine yourself shedding away those things too. Remember to be grateful of those things that are working. You can show gratitude to yourself by blessing acorns and planting them in the earth to grow as a gift back to the earth but also symbolic of those good things to grow.

Longer post than usual but this is my favorite season and I do a lot during it! Of course feel free to add if you have any other ideas or recipes!
