Kara snuggled into him as she listened to him ask if she was alright.  “I’m fine,” she said quietly before looking up to him.  He was so quiet right now.  “I’m sorry I scared you.  I was going to go to the DEO, but I knew I was too far away.”  She didn’t exactly what to tell him that she had nearly missed the window because her flying gave out.  The last thing he wanted to hear about this was that she nearly fell to the ground. Her loft was high enough up that she didn’t know if she would survive it when affected by green Kryptonite.  It would probably only make his fear greater now.  “I’m already feeling better, you know.”  Not one hundred percent, definitely not, but still.  Better was a good starting point.

“You don’t have to apologize....But yeah you did scare me...I’m still scared. If anything happened to you, Kara, I-,” he cut himself short, not even wanting to breathe the rest of that sentence into existence. He swallowed thickly, the muscles in his jaw jumping as he clenched his teeth. Mon El relaxed a fraction, though, when she said she was feeling better. He sighed through his nose, nodding, “Good,” he gave her a small smile. He leaned down and brushed his lips across hers, just a faint touch, his nose brushing along the side of her own after. “You just worry about feeling better....I’ll take care of everything else, okay?”

Kara smiled as she felt him pull her against him as he laid down, snuggling into him.  It was exactly what she wanted, and hey, if she could monetize on him being sweet and caring by a little bit of green Kryptonite, then good for her, right?  “It’s fine,” she said, relaxing against him.
Kara hesitated as she heard him suggest taking her to the DEO, attempting to figure out how best to explain what was going on in her head, her desire to stay there in bed with him, a sense of wanting to relax for the rest of the day after essentially being poisoned.  Even Alex said that they won’t be sending her out unless she told them she was up to it for the rest of the day.
And then he said he had an idea and she was in his arms, being carried to the balcony.  She relaxed against him as he sat down, already feeling the warmth of the sun, restoring a bit of her strength.  It was going to take a while to regain all of her strength this way, but hey, that meant more time just relaxing and spending time with Mon El.  How could she say no?  “It’s perfect.”

Mon El smiled as he held her tight to him when she said that this was perfect. “Good,” he whispered, kissing the top of her head as he held her close. “Are you sure you’re alright?” He was worried sick. His heart was going a mile a minute and he wondered if she could feel it. “Let me know if you need anything...?” he asked, his thumb brushing along her arm. He was quiet after that, just holding her. He knew at one time, early in their relationship, he talked too much. Made her problems about him or tried to make her problems better and ended up saying the wrong thing, so he learned to stop talking. He sighed, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the sun on his face.

Kara let her sister check her over, making sure all the kryptonite was out of her, just trying to relax a bit.  She knew it wasn’t going to happen until she had Mon El’s arms wrapped around her.  It was just fact.  She felt like an invalid just laying around.  At least with his arms around her, she could pretend they were merely cuddling, try to get what happened out of her head.
“How was I supposed to know that someone had a kryptonite grenade set up and waiting for me?”  She patted the bed gently, meaning more that she wanted him to lay down with her.  “I was getting people out of the building and… bam.”  Her hands finally weren’t shaking, but she still felt weak.  If she really wanted a quick recovery, she would have to have Mon-El take her to the DEO and get into one of the sunlight chambers, but ultimately, she was fine with the rest solution… as long as no superbad came around.

Mon El settled down on the mattress next to Kara, wrapping his arms around her and shifting her so she was settled against his chest. His arm was around her waist, his other hand holding at her elbow, her arm across his chest. His thumb brushed along her elbow as he kissed her brow. “I know...I was trying to lighten the mood, sorry...” he chuckled quietly.

He held her close, wanting her to feel better, though he knew he couldn’t help too much in that regard. She needed the sun. “Do you want me to take you to the DEO?” he asked quietly. “Oh wait, I have a better idea..” He carefully stood up and picked Kara up in his arms, grabbing the blanket and heading to the balcony where the sun was shining brightly. He sighed, settling in one of the arm chairs he’d kicked over so he could hold her in the sun. “Is this okay?” he asked, shifting so she could be comfortable in his lap.

Kara let Mon El pick her up, not having the strength to fight him. She was shaking far too much to be able to fight him.  Not that she wanted to, she trusted him to make sure she was okay. She gladly allowed him to set her down on the chair.  She kept herself as still as possible as he pulled pieces of Kryptonite out of her body, her eyes firmly closes as he worked, determined not to make too much noise.  The last thing he needed while helping her was to hear her in pain on top of already shaking and being too weak to even walk.
She let him help her up and move her to the bed, and she laid down, trying to relax a little.  She could still feel her hands shaking, she still felt weak, and all she really wanted to do was snuggle into him and sleep for a while, but he was leaving again, and she just didn’t have the strength to activate her x-ray vision or super hearing to check on him.  “I told Alex what’s going on… she’s on her way,” she said quietly, unsure if he actually heard her or not, she couldn’t get herself to talk louder right now.

Mon El heard Kara mention her sister, but he hadn’t heard the rest of her sentence, her voice getting quieter which made him more nervous. He continued to wrap the Kryptonite in anything and everything he could get his hands on, trying to separate it from Kara. When there was a knock at the door, he opened it and saw Alex behind it, relaxing a little as he breathed her name. “Kara’s in her room...” he said. “The Kryptonite is over there,” he gestured to the mass of tin foil and wrapped towels balled and on the farthest corner of the balcony.

Alex checked Kara over and made sure that Mon had gotten all of the pieces before she kissed her sister’s forehead and retrieved the ball of towels with the Kryptonite and left. The Daxamite locked the door and made his way to Kara’s bedroom, stopping to get her a glass of water which he sat on the bedside table. He hesitated at the bed, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked at her. She looked exhausted, but she didn’t seem a gray as before which made him feel a little bit better. He sat down on the mattress beside her, his fingers brushing some of her hair off her face. “Hey,” he whispered, his thumb brushing along her cheekbones. He was so thankful that she seemed to be alright. “I thought I said to be careful?” he teased.

Kara shook her head immediately at his denial of his compliment, “No way, you’re totally amazing. You founded an entire team and became a hero in your own right without any help–and still managed to create devices like this.” She motioned to the compass, “You’re amazing, Mon-el and I’m not taking no for an answer on that one.” Okay the last statement was playfully teasing him, but it was still true.
She blinked at his desire to give the device to her, and surprise was quick to give away into the not-so-familiar feeling of the warmth of his feelings for her. Ones that she shared. “Mon-el…” Her voice hitched and she could only step closer to wrap her arms around him. “….I’ve missed you.”

Mon El’s brows furrowed as he looked at her, opening his mouth to rebuke what she said, but she told him she wouldn’t take no for an answer so he sighed instead, giving her a small smile. “Thank you,” he said quietly. He was looking down at his shoes, still a little embarrassed at the compliment until she said his name. He looked up at her with a quiet, “Yeah?”

He hesitated, almost taking a step back when she moved toward him, but of course he couldn’t. She rooted him to one spot, she always had. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders, hugging her to his chest. “I missed you too,” his voice was thick with emotion as he held her tight.

Kara smiled and kissed his lips gently before she stood up.  “I’m always careful.”  Okay, no… no, she wasn’t.  Careful to make sure the other people don’t get hurt, yes, but she puts herself needlessly in danger half the time to do it.  There was so little on this planet that could actually hurt her that she rarely thought about her own danger.  “Be back soon.”
With that, she flew out the window and toward the fire.  It wasn’t overly difficult to find and, soon, she was putting the fire out with her breath, keeping an ear out for anyone in the fire.  And, sure enough, she heard coughing coming from two floors down from where she was.  She rushed  that way and was quick to pull them out of the fire, setting him near the paramedics.  Another sweep of the building indicated that there was someone down near ground floor, in front of something she could only imagine was a safe, based on the fact that she couldn’t see in it.  She pushed herself through, blowing away the remnants of the fire as she went.  But, when she got there, she was ambushed by a kryptonite grenade.  Several pieces of green kryptonite latched themselves onto her as she was shot back out of the room   She grimaced, trying to hold back a sound of pain.  Unknown to her, there were several fragments of red kryptonite in the grenade, and one of them had now lodged itself right behind an ear.  For now, she was far more focused on the fact that she had green kryptonite all over her.
She was losing strength quickly, and she knew even if she broke the sound barrier, the green kryptonite would bring her back down long before she got to the DEO.  She would have to trust that Mon-El would be able to help until Alex got there.  So she took off for her own place.  “Alex, get to my place now.  The fire was a trap, there was kryptonite.”
By the time she was at her building, she was already struggling to keep high enough in the air and her flight gave out right as she reached the window.  She grabbed the railing tightly and barrelled  through the window, landing hard on the ground.  She could feel herself shaking as she struggled to stand up, but it wasn’t working.  “Kryptonite,” she mumbled, now attempting to pull a piece of Green Kryptonite out of her hand, but she couldn’t tell whether she was failing because it was too deep or if she was already too weak… not to mention the pain from just touching a finger to the stuff was enough to make her feel sick.  “I need to get it out.”

Mon El was reclined back on the couch, one arm behind his head as he shifted, his eyes on the TV, turning more on his side. He felt his eyelids starting to get heavy as he relaxed even more. He must have dozed off, because the next thing he heard was a loud thumb on the ground. His eyes snapped open and he jumped off the couch, heading to the window, his heart stopping in his chest when he saw her. “Kara..” He reached down and helped her up carefully, bringing her to a chair to sit on.

She looked deathly gray, and his heart was now trying to work its way out of his ribs as he thought about what to do. Kryptonite. “Okay...okay stay here,” he held up his hands to show her to stay before he went to get tweezers from the bathroom and bandages. “Okay, you’re gonna be okay,” He nodded as he went over to her and held her hand in his. “Just close your eyes...I’ve got you.” He took hold of the piece on her hand and pulled it, working it out, needing to move it from side to side every one in a while. “I’m sorry...I know this hurts but I gotta get the whole thing..” The piece was long and thin, but thankfully didn’t seem to be broken off anywhere.

He plucked each piece from her, finding a few red pieces as well, but he was far too worried about her to bring it up. Once everything seemed to be out of her he helped her up and settled her in bed. “Just...wait here...” He went back to the pieces he’d taken out of her and wrapped them up in whatever he could find.

Kara chuckled slightly when she heard him say that he wasn’t opposed to moving to somewhere else in the loft. “And where would you want to go to?”  And then she heard her sister’s ears, alerting her to a fire too hot for the firefighters to get through.  It would take hours for them to deal with it.  She let out a long sigh before straightening up.  “Hold that thought.  Duty calls.”

Mon El smirked as he looked down at Kara, opening his mouth to answer her question, but he was stopped when he saw that look on her face. She was listening to something, and he could just barely pick it up and he nodded. “Fires....Alright well...I’ll be right here when you get back.” He pushed himself up a little to peck her lips. “Be safe,” he said, though he knew she would and that she couldn’t get hurt. He just wanted her to know that he worried.

Kara chuckled slightly as she felt him move her closer, relaxing into his grip.  But, as he asked her if she wanted to go back to the DEO, she hesitated.  “Honestly? Yes and no.  I mean, it would be the responsible thing for us to go back and do our jobs.  But, on the other hand, I am extremely comfortable, and I am not looking forward to leaving this position anytime soon.”

Mon El smiled, dipping his head, his lips against her temple when Kara said that she didn’t want to go anywhere. “Me either...” He sighed, leaning back more into the cushions after he shifted. His legs were up on the couch and Kara was settled between them on his chest. His fingers started to make random patterns against her back gently. “I mean I wouldn’t be opposed to moving somewhere else eventually, but just to another spot in the apartment...I don’t wanna leave...Maybe to get dinner..” He was already thinking about getting something else to eat, his Daxamite metabolism constantly kept him hungry.

@of-valor asked  “It’s basically a supernatural compass.” (For Kara)

Kara could only stare at the device that Mon-el was showing her in awe. It was something straight out of Krypton and Daxam, and if she didn’t know any better, she would have said her father or uncle had created it. It was that sophisticated. “And you made this.” She replied, lifting her proud and downright excited gaze up to his. Kara was basically bouncing on her heels to try the device, and it was a sight one usually didn’t associate with Supergirl.  “This is so cool! Mon-el! You’re amazing.”

Mon El nodded at Kara’s question. “It’s just...something i put together in the 31st century...It took a lot of trial and error.” He reached up and rubbed the back of his neck, laughing quietly as he shook his head, “I’m not amazing...This took me a long time to make...I want you to have it,” he told her with a small nod. “It’ll keep you safe...” All he wanted was to keep her safe.

The Daxamite turned his head to look at the woman next to him, his brows knitted. They were lurking around some bad guy’s hideout in search for files the man had supernatural heroes’ identities, Thea and Kara included. He had the same feeling, but couldn’t put his finger on what the feeling was. “Well...eve if something goes wrong, we’ll be okay...II’m bullet proof and can fly so I can get you outta here if we need to go.”

“Last night was amazing. I’m glad we waited until we were married.” (Imra)

Mon El laughed, “Are you? Well at least someone is,” he joked, his arms wrapping around Imra as he pulled her close to him and kissed her cheek and brow. “I coulda been better if we’d gotten some practice in.” His nose brushed along the side of hers. “Why were you so intent on waiting?” he asked curiously.

“Do you want to feel them? They’re kicking up a storm, right now.” (Kara)

Mon El grinned as he looked at Kara, his eyebrows shooting up to his hairline, “Are they?” he asked with a chuckle as he went over to her. “It’s because they know I’m here,” he teased as he reached out and set his hand on Kara’s stomach, smiling more when he felt the flutters under his palm. His entire face softened as he brought his attention down to her belly, his hand moving up and down the curve of it. He had so much he wanted to say, but the words were stuck in his throat.

Kara laughed, shaking her head.  “Not in this one, no.  In the movie that this musical came from.  The character was deleted for the musical, though.  Probably because they know he’s the best they would ever get and he’s now too old to really do anything live.”  Kara relaxed into him as she ate and eventually set the cartons down and snuggled into him.  “We definitely need to figure out a time to do that.”
Kara laughed, nodding.  “I know, shocking.  It’s like the world can survive for two hours without me.”

He grinned when she laughed, pulling her closer to him as he nuzzled her, his nose brushing along the side of hers. The Daxamite kissed her cheek, his eyes closing as he relaxed, “So what are we gonna do now?” he asked. He’d be more than happy to take a nap. He had a full stomach, he was warm and snuggled on the couch with Kara, it was a pretty perfect afternoon so far. “Did you want to go back to the DEO?” he asked, wondering if that was something she wanted, he felt a little bad for pushing her to take the day off. “I’ll understand if you do..”
