Kara snuggled into him as she listened to him ask if she was alright. “I’m fine,” she said quietly before looking up to him. He was so quiet right now. “I’m sorry I scared you. I was going to go to the DEO, but I knew I was too far away.” She didn’t exactly what to tell him that she had nearly missed the window because her flying gave out. The last thing he wanted to hear about this was that she nearly fell to the ground. Her loft was high enough up that she didn’t know if she would survive it when affected by green Kryptonite. It would probably only make his fear greater now. “I’m already feeling better, you know.” Not one hundred percent, definitely not, but still. Better was a good starting point.
“You don’t have to apologize....But yeah you did scare me...I’m still scared. If anything happened to you, Kara, I-,” he cut himself short, not even wanting to breathe the rest of that sentence into existence. He swallowed thickly, the muscles in his jaw jumping as he clenched his teeth. Mon El relaxed a fraction, though, when she said she was feeling better. He sighed through his nose, nodding, “Good,” he gave her a small smile. He leaned down and brushed his lips across hers, just a faint touch, his nose brushing along the side of her own after. “You just worry about feeling better....I’ll take care of everything else, okay?”
