ps. A little poll for you all~
I just realized that Crowley apologized to Aziraphale after coming back from his hellish talk with Beelzebub because he left his boo to deal with danger on his own. It didn't matter who was right or wrong, you just don't do that to your eternal love. " Through thin and thick" my dude takes his wedding vows seriously.
What’s your favourite line from good omens?
The invisible and unbreakable one that joins Crowley and Aziraphale.
I'm dying now.
A Letter from “Crawly” to Azirapil
This remarkable letter of unknown provenance surfaced recently in the cuneiform collection of the University of West Wessex. Addressed to Azirapil from a Mr. “Crawly,” it appears to be begging for the other’s return to Ur from a western journey with another individual, Abiraham. The relationship between the two (brothers? business partners? friends?) is unknown, and all three names are quite unusual. The letter also mentions a Mr. Ea-naṣir in Ur; if this is the same Ea-naṣir as the merchant mentioned in UET V 22, 29, 71, and 81, then the original letter would be dated to the Larsa period, around 1800 BCE. However, this particular copy appears to be a scribal exercise; the writing is relatively unskilled, and the cuneiform is Neo-Assyrian in form. It is unclear whether the text is based on a historical letter, or if its unusual names and content were invented for scribal practice.
Text:
Tell Azirapil [1]:
Thus says “Crawly” [2]:
When will your time in the West be finished? Abiraham [3] seems very dirty, and I am weary [4] in Ur. [There is] a talented mirsu-maker [5] on Wide Street!
Watch out, for I have acquired a new friend. His name is Ea-Naṣir [6], and I may play wickedly with him if you do not return.
Come quickly!

The thing I love most about Crowley and Aziraphale is that they're friends. Yes, they're also deeply in love, but first and foremost, they are friends. They love each other platonically, romantically, and everything else in between, and I hate when fanworks diminish that. They are not "more than friends". They are friends, plus lovers, plus family.
Exactly!
Agree!
Never sell friendship short! Without it, both life and all the other kinds of love really struggle. It is not a lesser thing at all.
They literally say it about each other all the time.
The fact that Crowley saving his books was probably the first time someone had not only done something for him but knew him well enough to do something like that without being prompted makes that scene so much sweeter
Aziraphale didn’t just feel love for Crowley here, he felt genuinely loved for the first time as well
bc of how he learned French 'the hard way' and his private magic lessons, i wonder if Aziraphale sometimes goes to the most random classes and workshops just because he enjoys acquiring human skills and if there’s a stack of certificates somewhere in his bookshop. he doesn’t even need those skills bc he can miracle his way through the issues they deal with. he just likes the process. i can imagine him having the time of his life while learning. perhaps he’s mostly awful at it. but there’s so much value in the fact that those are his own skills, not heaven’s, they can’t be taken away - they’re fun, they’re perfectly imperfect, they’re uniquely his - and that's such a human thing
“Crowley absolutely loves Aziraphale, and he hates that he loves Aziraphale.
It’s really annoying for him.”
David Tennant, New York Comic Con (2018)
