Chapter 12 of Out In The Universe is up now!

White smiles in understanding, not once breaking her perfect posture from the large pillow she’s sitting on. She and Steven are having one of their review sessions where the etiquette Steven’s taught is put to the test, along with his language skills. They sit next to each other on comfortable pillows, in meditative poses. He looks forward to these sessions, not only because of the chance to show off his progress but also because he gets to spend one on one time with his grandmother figure, and it’s always quiet and peaceful with her. No gems coming in and out to make reports or take orders, just him and White enjoying some time and meditation together.

Holly Blue stands a little straighter, fear coursing through her gem. Was this it? Was this why Blue Diamond requested an in-person report? Was she shattered after the meeting was over? If so, why wait? Why torment her, after all her years of unwavering loyalty and hard work?

The next chapter of Out In The Universe is up! I haven't made any art for this chapter unfortunately. Just got too many other projects going on, didn't have time or motivation to draw.

He was lying on a cold metal floor. His eyes burned, yet he couldn’t blink, couldn’t move them away from staring at a blue metal ceiling, matching metal walls in his periphery. Every breath was agony, a wheezing strain on his overworked muscles, yet he couldn’t stop, stopping would mean the end. He didn’t want to die, so he breathed as instinct commanded. He knew he was scared, cold and in pain, but he couldn’t think of why. He couldn’t think much at all, only feel. Feel the agony in his head, chest, stomach, and his eyes, slowly spreading throughout every cell in his body. He could feel the fear, fear of the unknown, of pain, of death.

Then a glow. Beginning as a bright white washing over the blue walls, it became pink, turning the ceiling above him to become a shade of purple. The source was just outside his field of view. It was warm, beautiful, and comforting. Its presence near him brought new feelings. Strength, happiness, love; he wanted it closer. Needed it. Though he still couldn’t move, couldn’t blink. It still hurts.

Chapter 7 of Out In The Universe is up now!

He’s so, so sick of gems thinking he’s his mom. If they want to hate him, fine, hate him, but can’t they at least hate him and not “him because he’s actually his mom”? He’s worked so hard for gems, and been rewarded with everyone recognizing him as his own gem. Someone going back to treating him like his mom has his temper flaring like never before.

How on earth I could buy a crochet hook at one store, go to another and buy a candy bar, only to find they match!? How can I eat my chocolate now!?

The sixth chapter of Out In The Universe is up! Featuring the cute, the sweet Padparadscha!

“Yeah! You’re all really cool! Super unique!” He turns to Padparadscha, “Can I hug you? I really want to, but I won’t if you don’t want me to.”

Silence. Padparadscha doesn’t really move for a few moments, making Steven concerned he’d said something wrong again. He’s trying really hard to control himself and ease their worries, but this little gem is just so cute he couldn’t contain himself. He’s sure these gems aren’t used to anyone, let alone a diamond, asking their permission… Hopefully he didn’t make things worse.

"... Yes!” She finally says, a small grin gracing her face.

Steven cheers and wraps his arms around her, holding her tight.

Chapter 3: Lessons

“It is I , Blue Diamonds most fabulous , elegant , poised and loyal Pyrope!” She sweeps her arms out, gesturing to herself with her eyes closed and a pleased smile on her face, before bowing and elegantly sweeping her arms into the diamond salute. “Come all the way from managing the lustrous Blue Diamond’s most successful and productive colony to instruct the radiant Pink Diamond on the art of etiquette and decorum !”

When she’s, finally, finished with her… introduction, Steven awkwardly clears his throat, “Um, it’s… Nice to meet you?”

Pyropes eyes fly open, and she gazes in shock at what appears to be a small organic being standing where Pink Diamond should be.
