Reminds me of the sign in North Carolina that said VIRGINIANS, 95 IS THE ROUTE NUMBER NOT THE SPEED LIMIT!

18th century Virginia had several dynastic families, often referred to as the "first families". Several are still famous today: the Lees, the Harrisons, etc. The Randolphs were one of them that are less well known today, but very prominent in their time: Peyton Randolph was unanimously chosen the president of the continental congress. He was only replaced by John Hancock because he died in October of 1775, which is why he's less well known today. Anyway I bring this up not because I particularly care about any of these wealthy, enslaving assholes, but the fact that they intermarried so heavily did lead to some amusing anecdotes. Namely when it comes to, well, names. So that at one point, there were two cousins. Their names were: Harrison Randolph and Randolph Harrison
